| Rankings | Teams | Goaltending | Defense | Offense | Analysis |
|---|
 | A- | A- | A+ | A talent ladened team that's expected to dominate this year and for many years to come. Signing Domin is a good move but will he be able to stay fit for the whole year without declining. The future is bright for the Leafs defence corp. Hardiman and Segouin will be pillars for them for years. St. John will try to make his mark this year with the big club while Cooke and Gallagher will more than fill the supporting role on the other lines. Can role 3 offensive lines to dominate any team.
 | A | A | A- | Vatri is the key for this team's success. Over the years they have had the same core but has not been able to win the Cup. This year will be pretty much the same. Peluso is getting old but young Baird will be a force immediately. Offensively, this team will roll 2 lines with Bourjeaurd and Lhotsky leading their offense once again. Can Strach continue to his stellar contribution this year is the big question. Perry is a good pickup but will not be a scorer that they Isles are used to.
 | B+ | B+ | B+ | An offensive driven team. Ouellette has not been the elite player for a few seasons now. A decent group of Dmen but no one really stands out. The first line drives this team, Schwendinger, Smith and Vasilev are key players for them. If their offence sputter then so will the whole team.
 | B+ | A- | B | A relatively young team with the vets concentrated at Center. Dube,Kokuev,Meier, Valimaki and Miller will be the core at D with emerging talents like McKinney and Sterbak looking for a breakout year. Upfront, a bunch of young wingers will drive the offense with aging vets Ylonen and Higgins providing the leadership. Look for a breakout year from Yves Morin and Lucas Dams.
 | A | A+ | B- | Might be giving the AI run team a little high ranking but this is a very strong team. Their former GM left them without a lot of future prospects but they are still a dominate team at the moment. Fahey and their formidable defence can win games easliy. However, the offensive group is showing signs of weakness. the LW/RW side is brutally week. Will probably just make the PO in the 7th spot
 | B- | A- | B+ | Every year the Panthers on paper put a strong team together but the product on ice does not reflect the predicted results. Goaltending is good not great. The new look defence is awesome, Harris and Adams automatically become the Key on defense and should make them hard to beat. Their GM has acquired some gifted veterans to ensure that they will be competittive this season
 | B | B | B | A team on the rise with some good transactions by their wily GM. Goaltending is decent and their defence is workable with emerging talents such as Locke, Murphy and Lund. They can create offence with some very talented forwards like Demers Fransoo. Hornak will be a player to watch.
 | B | B+ | B | It's always hard to predict how the Caps will fare. If Rahim can pay attention to them then they will be a PO team otherwise they will be competitive. Nosek will probably get the nod over Rissanen in goal. A group of older Dmen with Y. Bure and R. Mika playing a more prominent role this season. The forward group is talented but a little weak on the left side.
 | B | B | B | A bold prediction for a basement team to rise this fast but their GM did a commendable job in the recent draft. A slow but competent group of Dmen. Very strong down the middle combined with skilled vets like Lindfors and Chudy will give them seasons to be optimistic. McKay will be a lock for Rookie of the year candidate
 | B+ | B | B | A veteran team with aspiration for a PO spot. This will be another tough year for the Flyers. Nash is a very good starter but the supporting defensive corp is good but not great to push them into a PO spot. The offensive production will come from various players. As a collective they are solid but at the end of the day they will be stuck in the middle of the pack, fighting for a PO position.
 | A- | B | B | GM Midas has done a good job in bringing in talents to compliment their young core. Belanger will be steady in net while St. Onge will lead a young defensive group. Ledaire, Delisle and Claffey represent the future. Jencik and Lombardi will give them guidance until they can get some more supporting talents.
 | B+ | B | B+ | A great acquistion by their rookie GM. Cohen will be the new face to this once upon a time great franchise. Green will be asked to rise to the next level while their Defence is a work in progress. Cohen is the main feature for this team but he will need to click well with Kovacik right away to for them to be successful
 | B | B | B- | Did they excel because of Domin's presence last season? This season will be the proof on whether their GM has done enough to boost this team. Powers might be given the starting role. Defense is adequate and forwards are a mixed bunch. The lost of Clark will be huge for this team.
 | A+ | B- | B | If Bjornberg was not on this team then they would be last in the conference. Defence is lacking depth severely and the forward group is lacking talents in the bottom 8. Going to be a tough year.
 | B+ | B | B | A team in search for an identity with their new GM. Irwin is good but will not be depended on to win games by himself. The D decent with Caldr leading the way. The forward group are a mix bag of talents. Lacking depth will be the biggest pitfall for this team.
