It's maybe not a total surprise, but in my current season, through about 63 games, Bouwmeester has about 25 goals and over 80+ points. I expected him to do well, but not this well. Although maybe he's doing this well since Malkin is sitting at about 125 points through the 60 games he's played in...

The Olympic break was not kind to my player this year. After ripping up the league at a greater than PPG rate I've had 10 points in the 20 games simmed after the break, and have also gone from a +13 to a +8.

On the plus side he has set a new career high for Goals, and still seems to be on the way for both in terms of assissts and points. (8 assissts and 2 points needed for those)

Fair enough. But you can't expect us to know with out telling us. Now I know, and it does sound more plausible than I expected.

Those are the type of things you just can't guess. I've played online, but not in a 24/7 server. How do you expect us to guess there is such a thing without telling us? Or telling the rest of the EHM community for that matter? You just assume we automatically know everything.

And so that we don't get caught in arguing, let's try to take a step forward:
What do you want us, as an EHM community, to do to make the world a better place for online play, then?

How it works is the person who hosts the server brings up the game and stays signed in 24/7. The other 29 GM's are on vacation and end vacation when they come in. When they are done their changes they go back on vacation.

The leagues generally simulate 4 days to every real day, and often it includes doing live sims over mass MSN convo's. The live sims allow you to watch your game and coach and make changes on the fly, they are well attended and add another element of strategy involved, but are not mandatory.

For the other guys that argue that you need super amount of time to play the online game. This takes A LOT LESS time than ANY offline game cause you just do the lineup changes and then leave on your own schedule, the league sims on its own, and you don't need to put hours into it.

The one thing I've noticed about this board, and pretty much this board only(although not too many EHM msg boards left) but the mods here seem to just write off online play without knowing fully how it works (cept archie, who at least asked questions trying to learn). Even the guy who says hes played in the league, seems to not know how they work. I guess it comes down to what you like better, I know I can't even play offline games anymore, but I just think you guys should become more aware of how online games work before you make assumptions.

The avarage rating is really important for prospect development.
If a young player gets ratings below 6 it would be better to send him to AHL or back to juniors .

I Will never forget what i experienced with the regen of Peter Forsberg:
He started to play in the swedish elite league when he was 16 years old.
This guy had good physical and mental attributes but his technical attributes were below avarage.
He played 2 years in the elite league and his avarage ratings were:
1st season - 5.5 avr.
2nd season - 5.6 avr.
All my scouts said he was a superb prospect and he was ranked top five in the iss rakings.
I drafted him 3rd overall and tried to sign him but he stayed in the elite league for two other sesons.
In the 3rd and 4th season he had a 5.9 avarage rating.
His technical attributes were still pretty shetty.
I signed him when he was 20 years old and tried everything to teach him techniques but failed.
Opened the save game editor to take a look at him.
On the right side there was this huge potential (195 if i remember correctly).
Then i saw his ability on the left and it broke my heart.
He retired at the age of 29 and ended up with an ability of 55!.
It took me a long time to make it up with the game.

I renamed all 30 NHL Teams this morning, but now im getting an error: "usa_nhl.cpp"

Any ideas?

And I think that one powerplay goal alone could have given him the league lead after day two. But there're many more days to come, though.

@ StarboardWinger - did you mean to leave Goligoski on your bench? 20 minutes of ice time, a goal, a PPG and two shots on goal wasted.

Nice start for the Lovemobile I see. At least I voted for the best drafted team, even if I couldn't pick that team myself.

Also, I love Henrik Lundqvist.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It must be so frustrating. I think a few of us (including myself) have experienced similar frustration having had to re-do large parts of mods.

I suggest you send Mne2 a PM via TBL with details of your error. He might be able to enlighten you as to the meaning of your message. He's usually pretty good at replying to PMs on this site.

I think it's about time we had one of these!

Is anybody lucky enough to be going to the games in Sweden? My bro and myself have agreed that if there's an NHL season opener in Europe next year, we'll try to organise a trip over for it. It was such a great experience last year in London.
