*Alex drink a glass of water and he is getting ready to deal with a couple of local media and he joins them at the conference table*
Alex: First of all I want to thank everyone of you for to warm welcome since I join this city. I have high expectation for the team this year.
Press: Welcome aboard, Mister Bolduc. What are you goals in the mid and long term for the team?
Alex: My long term goal is to create a solid franchise in Charlotte. Our last championship was 10 years ago and I believe it's the time to bring the cup back over here. I believe we have a solid fan base but I am working to make it bigger in the next couple of months or years.
Press: I guess you're planning to stay here for a while, even if a Canadian Hockey League team gives you a job?
Alex: Charlotte is my new home and I believe I will stick here for a while. I had a warm welcome from the fan base when the board nominate me as General Manager and leaving here too early could affect my reputation. But if I have the chance to get a job in the NHL, I might think about it [he chuckles]
Press: We wish you good luck for the upcoming season.
Alex: Thank you, we will meet again at the begining of 2008 to look at the result at the mid-season.

I must say I am a lucky man. I am from far away one of the youngest general manager of all time (21 years old). But a team of the East Coast Hockey League decided to put their faith into me.
Couple days ago, I decided to try my luck and send some application to couple of teams who didn't had any GM. I sent one to the Saskatoon's Blades in the WHL and an another one to the Charlotte's Checkers in the ECHL.
I knew I would have luck with the team in the WHL, as I have worked as head coach in the last couple of years in Midget AA and AAA in the province of Quebec, but when I got that phone call from Charlotte, I was really surprise...
I hope things will go well over there. Time to pack and find my self a small appartment over there...
