Youth Player Generation

This is really outstanding. To have a set of playable leagues all the way from high school up to the NHL is something I'd always hoped we would see in EHM but never thought it would actually happen. I love seeing how you (and others) are pushing the boundaries of what the game can do and opening up...

It's not possible in the Editor at present owing to the complexities involved (similar to name deletion).
Thanks for the reply

I've tried but haven't been able to, and I'm wondering if I'm going about it wrong or it's maybe not possible...

How to move an existing game to another PC?

So, somehow the savegame file includes the database information then? Does it matter that I used a modified database file in creating these savegames? I.e. the TBL10.3 rosters modified by the 'prospect generator'. And, IIRC the savegame folder includes many subfolders, but I guess there is no harm ...

archi - love the schedule generator matrix I'm glad it is of use. I think the algorithm can be improved to create better (but not perfect) schedules. It's on the list for the next release. I just downloaded the latest version of the editor...is this "schedule generator matrix" part of the current e...

How to move an existing game to another PC?

Naturally I know I need to copy the savegame files, that's a no-brainer. But what other game files are affected by my 12-year long career game? Do I need to copy/paste the main database file? Steam automatically installed the current TBL roster database on the new install, but my existing savegame ...

1974/75: Nino's Rosters - Mario Lemieux as an 8 year old

I'll take a look at your email about league structures this weekend. Sorry for the delay - work has been so intensive for 18 months now that I struggle to find any spare time/energy. But I have plenty of time this weekend. I totally understand; I really appreciate the help  I hope your weeken...

Division Level indicates the league's overall level within that nation (1 = highest level, 2 = second highest level, etc). For example, the EIHL is the top league in the UK and so it should be set to 1. The NIHL is the second best league in the UK and should be set to 2. The NIHL North 1 and the NI...

FYI - I have been working on this intermittently, but I am going to again take an extended break, and I think it's very unlikely I'll be continuing with the project; the project is to big with to much still to do, and I'm not willing to release anything I'm not proud of, and I want to move on/forwa...

testing data - NHL forwards Attributes 2018/2050

What is evident is with the game created values in 2050 (when any human inputted values are long gone) there are some really significant differences in the frequency of lower/higher Attribute values compared to startup I do wish that such high CA players did not get such extremely low ratings (rati...

BTW, looking forward to your 1974 database! Do you plan to include draft prospects into the '80s with that DB?
Yes! The plan is to have prospects right up to the current time

I've been using the prospect generator with the TBL roster and IMHO it does make the drafts more realistic - at least more similar to the first years of gameplay. And the possibility of getting "top 5 drafted" players that are actually at their PA when 17 years of age adds to that realism, as that'...

Hasn't there been multiple reports and complaints that the game could not generate high end CA players with it's regen, when the pool of created prospects ran out ? Not sure if the ECK database used here is the one with the prospects generator, but even the TBL db appears to generate very similar n...

The Oilers Challenge interest me  P.S. There is no 1970 database; I'm guessing you got the 1970 from the start/finish dates on the TBL Challenge history page (the first 16 Challenges all say "01 Jan 1970" for their start/finish dates) https://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/app.php/challenge/ind...

• For goalies with a 170-200 CA, ECK averages 10 per year (range 6-12) and TBL averages 5 per year (range 2-8). I was surprised to see the ECK database see an almost 50% drop from 2018 to 2028 (TBL is at our above its average for all but startup and 2019, while ECK was below its average 2024-2028) •...

Taking a look at the 2018-2028 CA data... • For goalies with a 100-200 CA, TBL averages 336 per year (range 316-336) and ECK averages 328 per year (range 307-356). The per year numbers increase a small amount for TBL; the ECK increase is more noticeable (the ECK database started with fewer). • For d...
