Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12

Right and there are, what, 8 keeper rounds? So this is basically Mike Green + 10th Round pick for a 7th Round pick. =D>

edit - ok - there are 10 keeper rounds. Regardless - props to badad. That is a straight up rip off. :notworthy:

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12

Am I imagining things or did Mike Green just get traded for less than a 15th round pick?

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12

Are we sticking with the current number of keepers for next year?

Need to know that info before I consider who is available for trade...

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12

Too bad that you've lost interest B. I have to admit that this has been one of the better leagues I've participated in. It would suck to see it stagnate. Also, I think the usual system for voting down a trade is three votes. We should have two now with myself and batdad. Anyone else think Sedin has ...

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12

So I guess I can be lumped into the grumpy old man category with batdad.... I'm here specifically to protest that trade between Marsac and Concussion. I was sure it would get vetoed - not completed! For all the reasons posted above, the trade is ridiculous. Are you guys buddies in RL? There is no ot...

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2011-12

Hey everyone!

I think the current keeper setup is 1C 1LW 1 RW 2D and 1G. I would like to see: 2C 2LW 2RW 3D 1G. So increase the overall number to 10 from 6.

Congrats to the Slippy-Doos.

So did I just manage to avoid relegation by finishing in 10th?

I think it could be fun to try throwing around some posts like this though...

You can add NBA players To the DB. The same as when Michael Jordan Played baseball. I want Grant Hill on The Panthers. You could Get it working by Replacing the League Draft data.

After reading our friend mcgsports' comments int he dabo thread, I decided to check this one out to better understand the deep insights he is gracing us with. One thing I've noticed is that he never seems to reply to any of the responses to his posts. It's like a one time stream of consciousness thi...

Joe that is an awful trade dude - no offense. Carter is on a tear, so you'd better hope Koivu rips it up because Ryder is a bum. Still bitter because of his days on the Habs. That said, I'm going to head over and update my trade block now, so maybe I'll be the next one on the receiving end of...

Great draft guys. Nice and quick and I think I fared pretty well. If I was icing an NHL lineup with this group here are my lines: Heatley - Malkin - Gaborik ( :-D ) Vanek - Franzen - Gionta Vermette - Bergeron - Latendresse Umberger - Ennis - Niederreiter Doughty - Kaberle Burns - Hedman Johnson - R...

Manimal: I would take a chance on Horton. He is on a much better team this year and Hemsky is dodgy injury wise. Plus, I don't share the high expectations everyone has for the Oilers this year - Whitney is far and away their best D and that isn't going to get them too far. Getz: Kessel and Gonchar a...

Thanks guys - I think I am going to stick with Ward and hope he bounces back.

Now - Kaberle or Rafalski?

Looking forward to this season / league - so much so I'm not going to play a Yahoo league this year!

I would keep Lucic. If he is healthy, he provides both points and hits. Huselius, not so much. I'm having a similar debate in net. I was expecting Ward to be my starter last year, but he SUCKED. I was able to pick up Bryzgalov - who was awesome for PHX - but was it a one time thing? Can PHX really b...

It will be a freakin' miracle if I can squeeze 21 wins out of this group of losers.
