So just past 20 games in season 3. wont have time to finish it up . Nice weather and the long weekend... Happy Canada Day ( monday ).
The team is playing well, sitting in 6th place. Matthew Lombardi ( 5g,17A,) and Drew Stafford (9G 12 A) have been solid additions to this team.Mason is performing more like he did in the first season (2.62 GAA and .901 SV%)
In fact the whole defence is solid, we’ve allowed the fewest goals against (79).

Two possible problems though. Rick Nash has only 13G nowhere near the pace he was scoring at last year when he led the league, and even more troubling Jack Johnson is suddenly unhappy and wants to be traded to a stronger team. I’ve already made my trade for the season so he’ll have to stick it out here, hope it doesnt ruin the team chemistry.

Im going to finish this season over the next while. Probably wont join the next one as time will be tight over the summer.

Season 5 complete. We won another President's Trophy, but lost to the Blues in the Conference Final, once again mostly due to injuries (among the players sidelined were Bergeron, Clowe, Gaustad, Johansen, J.Johnson, Mason, Thorburn). I wanted to finish this Challenge with another Cup, but it wasn't to be.

My trade for the season was Brassard to the Islanders for Marcus Foligno, an up-and-coming winger who has all the credentials to be another Ryane Clowe. God knows why the Isles needed another centre, with Tavares, Strome, Nielsen, Joe Colborne and young Kristoffer Blomqvist (Sundin's regen, I reckon), but I gladly unloaded Brassard, and he didn't quite light it up on the Island. No waiver pick-ups this time, though I tried to get O'Marra (went to the Ducks). Jenner spent another season with the Falcons, as I preferred Gaustad as my 3rd line centre, and somewhat stalled in his development. He would've got a spot at the big club eventually if I were to play another season, and truth be told I still might; I really enjoyed this team and this Challenge.

Thanks for playing, guys.
