Well I think my first idea was alright then. Even if Zadorov thinks highly of himself he still looks stable. Problem is the salary. Just offer him a 10 year deal so he goes back to your rights and sign him for almost nothing.

Hodgson doesn't want to sign...not sure how much of an issue that is...if you're resigning two of three, and you're battling it out for 8th place (so still rebuilding; not yet a Cup threat), then I suggest going with the younger two (Zadorov/Hodgson)

Keep Zadorov and Hodgson, never been a fan of big buf U seem to get the best out of Hodgson too and he shouldnt be that expensive.

Yay Manimal makes sense. Guys think about it...... 5.1 for Zadorov, 5 for Doughty, 5 for Giroux, 5 for Carter, 3.5 for Buffy, probably 2ish for Hodgson....

You have a point, any chance he might sign for less later? I do think you should sign Hodgson though, and not Buf.

No idea. But in terms of this game have to go with what it is now. It is one of my rules. Cannot look at it later, if you guys make me sign him, I will and for the 5.1 if he takes it. But I will not negotiate.

When I ask you it is absolute...I will only offer deals for what they have in the fields for $. Hodgson not willing to negotiate but has 2 mill (1.9 I think actually) in his box for auto contract. quite often that $ value works.

Well since Buffy as a "decent" performance ratio and only could cost 3.8 you should keep him instead. For two years it's not that bad IMO. Dump him after the deal.

I looked at it that I was the "Scout" asked about players, not about finances...if the GM asks me to pick two of three guys, is it my job as a Scout to worry about the GM's job managing the Cap too? HaHa

If a Scout is to consider the whole team depth, and the Cap then they can't be limited to "pick two of three" IMO...can I say sign only one? Or none? Or when looking at the three and deciding to pick two can the Scout suggest trade someone else (not of the three) to help address any financial/talent concerns I have with resigning? Can a Scout suggest that one or more of the three be resigned (to maintain asset value) and then traded?

I did briefly think about the dollar amount, but you said pick two of three (and to do it quickly! Haha)...and I decided that since the GM is giving me Zadorov as a choice, he's OK at resigning him at the given $ amount (maybe he'll trade him if his Scouts say sign him? maybe he'll trade someone else?)
