As he's on "only" 900k this season.
He is in the last year of his ELC. Let's see if he gets a bridge or a long-term contract straight away

What do you think about the World Cup of Hockey? I'm definitely not a fan of it, the Olympics are much better. Bobrovsky agrees:

Well it's nice to see the best players competing. But I prefer the Olympics too. Playing Olympics every 4th year is a bit too rare (to see the best players), so having a World Cup in between Olympic games I think it's a good idea.
But as the WC is after the summer the players aren't in their best shapes. That's a big downside.

I like the World Cup...but not if they do these "all star teams" of younger kids and putting all the Euro 2ndary nations on one team. They also seem to underrate the Swiss as they always compete with the top 6 nations (Canada, US, Rus, Cze, Swe,Fin) and to some extent Slovakia who every once in awhile puts on a show, but is really an OLD hockey nation without much coming up behind this last group who is what age 30 now?
Just make it a 7 team tournament and have some fun if you don't think Slovakia or Germany are good enough to be team 8. Also, Austria Denmark, and even Slovenia and Latvia can compete a little bit.

I heard rumors that there won't be any "Euro secondary nation team" last week.

World Cup should happen between the Olympics, like in the middle so we could have something to watch every two years. Just like how it works with winter/summer Olympics.

That is what they are doing basically. 2014 Olympics, and then they wanted to get it started before 2016, so is why thinking this coming summer originally but bet gets pushed to 2016.

No one in Europe really cares about the World Cup. It's an NHL thing. If they want some extra bucks (because this is the true reason), they should just hold a Can vs US series and all.

Us would just lose all the time. At least Sweden, Russia can give some opposition.

It's a try-out. If he seems in shape enough for the Blues they will sign him.

Yes a try-out I get. But I don't see the point in signing him as they've got Elliot and Allen (which are good GK's).

I think you meant Latvia, Norway and Belarus. Slovenia and Austria weren't even playing in the World Championship tournament the past spring.

Right but I think he was mentioning them because they did well in the Olympics.

No I meant Slovenia. In the world cup they would have Anze and that makes a difference. And no I meant Austria with Vanek Grabner Pock Divis on a good day. Do I have to list the Danes too? ...Hansen, Nielsen, Bodker, regin, Eller, Larsen, Jensen, Andersen, yada yada yada.
Norway-NOT ONE NHL HOCKEY PLAYER. Holos is the best, and then some guy named Forsberg and not Filip.
Latvia- ZEMGUS GIRGENSONS--one player in NHL. And he is barely in the show on one of the worst teams in history...but they play well and work hard.
Belorus-Grabovski and 400 year old Kostytsyn brothers who well...suck.
DO NOT EVER TRY TO TELL ME WHAT I MEAN. OR TRY TO I know a hell of alot about hockey and know a hell of alot about hockey outside the NHL.
THe top 10 hockey nations...and I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE RANKINGS BECAUSE OF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS...NOT BEST ON BEST
1. Canada
2. USA
3. Sweden
4. Russia
Those four are darn close and on any given day one will beat the other.
5. Finland
6. Czech
7. Switzerland
8. Denmark (because wow are they coming on lately)
9. Slovakia (Drop because wow are they old)
10. Slovenia (because on any given day....Mr Kopitar will make them better than anyone else...no other fringe team has a player that is a game breaker like him)

You might have missed him because he is very small, but Mats Zuccarello is a Norwegian in the NHL.
And BTW, it is now official that Daniel Alfredsson has retired. He had a great career

Yeah I knew I was missing something. My bad. I know you know a lot about hockey and I appreciate that but I still don't understand why Finnish names are so hard for you.

Zuccarello is not really an NHL player, he is just on a team that desperately needs someone to fill a roster spot. Manimal you could make that team. Finnish names are not really hard for me, I just like making fun of them. Because they look so silliiiiieueii.
