Hello gauch33, I'm having the same problem message with directX, trying to open EHM EA in parallels. I tried to find a resolution setting in paralleles but I could only find the full screen settings. Where did you fix the resolution in paralleles? It is possible to download the rosters through steam but I just download the rosters here. Go into PlayOnMac and open the directory for steam, then steamapps, common, EHM, data, database and copy the folder with all the actual files in it there. 5. One the line it says "Windows EXE" (near the top), select "Browse".
6. Double-click on "Program Files", "Steam", "steamapps", "common", "Eastside Hockey Manager".
7. Click on "ehm.exe" and select "Choose".
8. Exit out of Wineskin and try running "Eastside Hockey Manager" again from your Applications folder in Finder. If successful, it should now load directly into EHM and keep steam in the background.
To get to the data folder to add logos, pictures, etc.:
1. Right click on the "Eastside Hockey Manager" app in Applications.
2. Select "Show Package Contents".
3. Select "drive_c", "Program Files", "Steam", "steamapps", "common", "Eastside Hockey Manager", "data".
I've been using this since release and it's been working wonderfully, so I thought I'd share a clean, untouched version with those wanting to use it on OSX.
As always, I can't predict how everyone's machine will handle the software, but I hope for most people it should be as easy as what you see above. I believe you need to be running Snow Leopard (10.6.8) or above, though I've only been able to test in on Yosemite.
Somehow I just learned about this game last night and instantly downloaded it. EHM 2007 was probably my favorite game ever but I stopped playing it when I reached a point in my career where it always crashed on the same day. I'm pretty sure I used to post on here too but couldn't remember my login info so I had to make a new account. I am pumped that there is now a way to play on Mac so I don't need to switch operating systems on Boot Camp like I used to! I had the same problem. Then I reinstalled EHM and it worked until I tried to get logos, player pictures, competition logos etc. to the game. But without those it is working at least for me, I think you should try this one also.sjsharkz wrote:I have, same thing.
