Great job guys! Yes Devin - many of the rules for the various conferences may need to be tweaked - obviously I just got one to work and used that as a template to get everything up and going!

Archi - interested to know if you get any feedback from Riz on larger league sizes - like 45+ teams that crash on the league news screen at the moment. I still think eventually a one league setup may be the way to go in terms of creating a more realistic 16-team playoff and having the ability to have a real schedule template (which I have basically already done) that features a realistic schedule of non-conference matchups giving way to conference games as the season progresses.

Although - I do like the graphical and historical aspect of having the current setup we have going now that is allowed by having individual league conferences.

TBL Rosters 9.2 - NCAA

Hey. Great update. However, Notre Dame plays in the wrong division. IRL Notre Dame plays in Hockey East (12 teams) and not in Big Ten (6 teams). But in the game they play in Big Ten (7 teams) and not Hockey East (11 teams).

Can this be changed with the editor?

Also. You can not sign any staff since you cant offer money. There also seems no players are interested in signing even though they aim to play College hockey.

I'm really having a blast with NCAA now that you can sign your own players. If only 'we' (like I have anything to do with it...) could play against more teams and not only the teams in your own conference.

I load up August and September with interesting exhibition tourneys and matchups. Not only does it let me match up NCAA and USHL teams with CanHL and CIS teams, but it also lets me play out-of-conference powers and get an idea where my really team stands.

The only way to ever have inter-league/inter-conference games will be to either move from individual leagues (I'm still a big proponent of eventually having just two leagues -- one with NCHC, WCHA, and B1G, and the other AH, ECAC, and HE, and take the top 8 teams from each league for the Frozen Four tourney), or for Riz to implement a way to create a schedule matrix that allows for non-league dates.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I was reading through this thread and trying to get an idea of how recruiting works for NCAA. I want to start a play through, but I want to make sure I know what I'm doing first. Is there certain rules on how to approach signings? Or do you just scout and put them on your shortlist and they commit on their own, or do you have to approach them to sign? Thanks for this update though everybody, NCAA being playable is something you can't find anywhere else.

Or if Riz fixes the season preview crash when you have more than 45 or so teams in a league...that way we can just do one NCAA D1 league and do a 16 team playoff. I've already got the combined schedule template with non-con and conference games ready to go if that ever gets fixed! :-D

Save it safely! We'll be using that.

Little problem here. I'm in November, 2019 on my save and I keep getting this error message: "TRANSFER_MANAGER::get_next_window_date_for_transfer(): cannot find date." I can play through it, but it keeps coming up all the time now. I has been going smoothly for 3-4 seasons, but for some reason this is happening now.

Any ideas? I'm new to this

Will be fixed with new version, but you will have to start a new game.

I got this error message in my third season with Massachusetts Minutemen:
Image
I could just click through it though, (a lot of clicks).

One thing I've seen now in my third season is that the teams doesn't sign a lot of players, most of the other teams in Hockey East have really small rosters. However right after that error message I got a lot of news of teams offering contracts to players.

Are you with 9.3? I simmed like 100 times until 2020 and I never had it.
Teams that don't sign players is a known bug it will be ironed out with 1.5 hopefully.

I can now offer players contracts/money, which is fantastic, but I still can't offer staff any money.

9.3 Rosters [NCAA] Still can't offer staff money.

I feel bad that most of my posts here are bugs, but is anyone else having this issue? Seems as though you have have fixed the ability to offer contracts/money to players in NCAA, but I still can't choose to offer staff any money.

So apparently like someone said on reddit, trying to sign a coach/assistant coach in ncaa doesn't work and only show 0$ for contracts offer.

I laucnhed the game with the 9.3 db and got the same problem too, i tried to add a finance info for the Hockey East for example and still had the issue.

Now i took a team of the Hockey East randomly and changed ther status from Amateur to Junior and lauched the game again after this change, i was able to sign an assistant coach for 24k$ for 2 years so it solved the problem i guess, if you could look at this Alessandro!

Changing from junior to amateur teams would have half of players so i guess we have to trade players for staffers.

what do you mean by half of players?

Teams in NCAA are already set as "Amateur", switching this to "Junior" would Lindros something with players?

This is what my tests showed.
I'm running another test right now, let's see what happens.

So this is kinda neat...

I went into my DB and added a series of awards for each of the 6 D1 conferences:

- Player of the Weekhistory
- Player of the Month
- Coach of the Year
- Goalie of the Year
- Defenseman of the Year
- Forward of the Year
- First All-Star Team
- Second All-Star Team
- Third All-Star Team

It really helps flesh out the gameplay experience IMO to have awards, especially the monthly and weekly ones and the year-end awards help flesh out the history of both players and the conferences as you player the game.

But I was a little worried about the Hobey Baker and the Richter attached to the Frozen Four...was it going to simply choose the best player from the 6 teams in that tournament/playoff? Well...turns out no. It chooses the MVP and Best Goalie out of all 6 conferences - the player doesn't have to be appearing in the Frozen Four. Which is awesome...because I think now you can also setup First-, Second- and Third- All-NCAA teams at the end of the season as well as the All-Conference teams.

Example: Zachary Aston-Reese is awarded Hockey East Forward of the Year and is on the Hockey East First All-Star Team at their award ceremony on April 2.
Image

Northeastern doesn't make the Frozen Four:
Image

But on April 23, Aston-Reese goes on to win the Hobey Baker for overall NCAA player of the year...and presumably, if you had a First All-Star Team award set up under the Frozen Four, he would've been on that as well:
Image

So yeah, nothing ground breaking but kinda neat!
