EHM The Blue Line

Hey all, I created two Google polls for determining two future directions for this DB, would appreciate any input!

So yea I had no idea you could future retire a player, going to go with that for the Sedin's, keep voting on the next league!

For some reason the game repeatedly crashes on Feb 16th 2018. Potentially an Olympic issue? If it helps the teams that are playing are Slovakia, Germany, Russia and USA.

I have not had this issue. I am in a save heading into 20-21 season. Did you get the game to generate you more players? I did not for my save, just player staff.

Yeah but typically it shouldn't be an issue which is weird

With the latest version? Can you try simming through it with an older save?

I'll double check those teams to be safe either way.

Just a little thing I've caught. Nate Clurman of Notre Dame should be an Avalanche prospect, and not a Tampa Bay prospect.

@Wildcat84A Where did you see him as a Tampa prospect? I see his rights owned by Colorado in the latest version of the DB.

Update: Should have a final 2.4 (2017-18) version up on Steam by the end of this week, may release a 2.4.1 post-entry draft. Will begin to shift to updating the next league as voted on by you guys soon, so far Canadian Major Juniors is leading followed by Liiga and the NCAA. I will look to incorporate a lot of the NCAA updates BK has recently worked on and with his permission I'll incorporate them into this DB.

My plans are to have a beta 2018 roster (using the 2017 schedule template) ready after the first week of July (hopefully all the big FAs will be signed by then...please stay JT!)

Game repeatedly crashes after June 24th 2021 for me, don't know whats going on..

I'm in November of my 20-21 season so I will sim as fast as possible today to see if I hit the same crash LastofBaron is.

I'll be pretty honest if it is crashing for everyone around there...I might just throw in the towel and combine my work with the TBL guys.

I am crashing going from March 28 2021 AM to PM

It most likely would be an issue with a league structure or schedule but honestly it's going to be way too hard to troubleshoot that far out easily.

I'll spend a little bit of time trying to figure it out but very likely this will be it for me. Sorry guys/gals but it's just too demoralizing. Appreciate all the support!

Does it matter what version a specific save runs? Talking about the crashes...

I'm only at February 2018 with 2.3.8.1.

Seems like crashing may have been a part of this DB one way or another since inception, I expect you will still have a few years without issue but sounds like you cannot advance past mid-2021.

Okey. Understand that it kills the motivation, but hopefully you find it because you do a great work. Much appreciated!

If you create something new on your own or support the TBL roster guys I know many would be happy!

I'm a relatively new EHM-player so learning the game with your roster. Will take some time to come to 2021. By then hopefully a new version from you or TBL is out.

I think it's a straight crash to desktop

That's a pain. Assuming it's not the national team contracts issue, it'll probably be a league structure issue. This will really depend on what you have changed. Usually the crash will occur when one stage ends - so if the crash date is close to the end date of a stage (taking into account that the dates will vary slightly by year), you might be able to narrow it down that way.

Yea, which is honestly why I'm really just not mentally in a place to start picking this apart. The amount of simming and testing I'd have to do...just insane amounts of work.

Unfortunately it is a straight CTD, no error message.

Bummer. Would be super nice if this game had a version that would work long term.

Huge update

Rebuilt the DB from the ground up with TBL 10.1, I am in a sim right now closing in on January 2022. Looks like we are fixed! Will do a few test sims, some minor updates then release here. If we are good for a week or so I will release to Steam as an End of Season roster.

Simed all the way until 2025 without issue, looking very good for a fresh release.

All finished with my remaining updates, running a long-term sim now. If it's good I will release it tonight for testing before posting to Steam.
