So this story isn't really about stupidity, but I don't think it deserves its own topic. And it sounds stupid anyway, so why not.

France played against Kazakhstan yesterday in order to qualify for the Olympics. I was very surprised when I saw the Kazakh's line-up, as Kevin Dallman is now officially a Kazakh national team D-man.

What I find weird, is that last year Dallman left Barys Astana, after his wife published on her blog stories about the country's corruptions, and other stuffs that was not nice against Kazakhstan governement. So Dallman signed to SKA St-Petersburg on the last off-season, leaving the opportunity to play for Kazakhstan and participate in the OG, but making his wife happier, haha.

In Kazakhstan, it's officially forbidden to have double nationalities. But thanks to a Kazakhs authorities trick, Dallman managed to get his Kazakh passport, despite not leaving his original Canadian citizenship. And so, he's now eligible to play for Kazakhstan, despite this move against their own immigration and citizenship's laws. So he played his first match, and for the information recorded 2 assists in the game.

I'm not complaining after the result, France lost because Kazakhstan was way better, with or without Dallman. But it's sad to see that a country can go against their own laws in order to gain an "important" player, and losing more credibility on the legal side.

End of the story: France beat Latvia in overtime 3-2, but that wasn't enough to qualify for the OG due to the loss against Kazakhstan. Now I officially hate Kevin Dallman :-D

Thanks for the link I didn't saw it anywhere when it happenned here! This has been a pretty shocking new here. He got ban last week if I remember correctly and was really happy about it. Now our local team is at the Canadian tournament!

Cook played for the London Knights before and I think he had the reputation of been an a-hole. I think he was with the Knights when they lost against the Cataractes for the Memorial Cup. As his defence he said (supposely) that the referee grabbed him from behind and he thought it was another player of Trois-Rivières so he blindly throw an uppercut to get rid of him. After seeing the vid for the first time I can tell you his statement is Kasparaitis. He's retarded that's it.

On the Dallman situation there is probably something we don't know behind it. :nerd:

And the Cook situation. Well, there's always people like that in every sport or job... people you meet. They're just not like me. I'd call em animals. :-# ...Who can't behave in a proper manner! :-k

PS: I'm a little drunk right now.

Haha! I'm starting to think there's some sort of connection between Finland and getting drunk... :-D

Maybe in the future we'll have a smiley named after jhcjobpb like we do for Tasku. :tasku:

No connection. Pure coincidence. (Or maybe it's this place. Maybe it's TBL that drives us all into the booze!) :-D

Haha. :-p Well the Finnish people are famous for their alcohol consumption. Well today me and my girlfriend have a party for ~15 people, so I'll be drunk again. But I'm not coming online then. If I do, it sure has to be a boring party. :-D But I doubt that. :-)

How old are you Tasku? Have you told people here that it means "pocket" in Finnish? :-D I'm 26 years old btw.

I'm 31. No, I haven't told anyone tasku is "pocket" in English. Your name on the other hand is... umm... Chinese? :-k

Sounds like a good party. If (or when) any off-ice stupidity happens there, you should let us know :-D

Once when I needed an extra email I just created this name. But then somehow it got stuck in my head so I started to use it on different other places. It's a pretty dumb name I'll give you that. :-p But on the other hand it's always available. :-D Yeah if something happens I'll let you guys know. :-)

To make it easier for everyone, you can call me CJ. :-) Like Pamela Anderson in Baywatch. xDDD
