Should i copy/paste all the new 4.1b files out of that folder and add them to the current files altogether? o just leave the file folder as is with the rest of the database files?

At least we know that you've got the game successfully patched. One step done.
Unless it is something totally unexpected, you must be doing something wrong with the roster update folder. Can you describe, step by step, what you're doing with it after downloading?

Once again: When you download the roster update, you get a .zip file (a compressed file). Unzip it. Then you get a folder, with two things inside: a Read Me file and another folder. This second folder contains the updated database files. What you have to do is put this WHOLE FOLDER (the second one) INSIDE the existing "database" folder (filepath: whereveryouputEHM/NHL EHM 2007/data/database), alongside the existing database files. Don't delete anything. Don't overwrite anything. Just move the whole folder to the location above.

Done and done
the zipped and unzipped folders are in with the database. If i click on the unzipped upgrade it shows a whole new list of 2012 pages. Still nothing different when loading. i even tried run as admin

Two questions:
Can you start a game with the default database? (Just a regular game with the database from the year the game came out.)
Where are you putting the downloaded database? (What is the exact path to how you got there?)

I'm sorry, but you lost me there. What zipped folder?
And what list of what 2012 pages?

Yes, i can start the game, 2007 rosters as normal. It says its 3.04 at the top of preferences
I put the downloaded data base folder in the "database" folder that came with the game

Heh you don't get technical support like this when you phone those technical support hotlines!
Here's my two cents:
1) Uninstall everything. Once uninstalled, make sure your EHM folder has been deleted (delete it if it hasn't).
2) Install the EHM 2007 Try'n'buy demo.
3) Download the v3.0.4 patch. Make sure you download the PC version. Here's the link:
https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=a0fa740e ... C5C5%21127
4) When the patch has downloaded, double-click on it. You should not have any messages asking what program to run it with; it should just run. Follow the on-screen instructions (B.Stinson posted a useful guide with screenshots earlier in this thread).
5) Download the 2011/12 rosters. I strongly suggest downloading the v4.1b 2006 adjusted rosters. The CSD Patched rosters will just add an additional layer of confusion. Here's the link:
6) Go to your EHM 2007 folder -> double-click on the data folder -> double-click on the database folder -> create a new folder within the database folder and call it something like Manimal.
7) Double-click on the rosters .zip file you downloaded. You should see a list of files. If it just shows a folder then double-click on the folder and then you will see a list of files. Select all of the files and place them in your new Manimal folder. You should then have something like this (note the folder structure listed at the top of the screenshot):
8) Load EHM and click on New Game. You will be asked which database you want to use. If you are not then it is either because you haven't installed the Patch properly or you haven't placed the database in the correct folder.

when you download the 4.1b, it comes in an unzipped folder that needs to be extracted
the 2012 updates .dat files, probably from the patch upgrade all in the database file folder in the data file folder of EHM

ok, Reimer on T.O. piece of Marlies castaway rubbish!
Thanks a ton guys, i am humbled by my slight retardedness.......
The game is ALOT slower now unfortunately, maybe its just because its new? I have a i7 core 1.75 with 1.5 GB nvidia and 8GB ram.....
Anyways, Cheers to you all. I will check in periodically for updates, hell of a mod team you have here!
Venge.

Excellent! Feel free to build a statue in the honour of everybody who has posted helpful advice in this thread.
I find a bit of slowness at the beginning of the season, but it normally speeds up once all the players have retired (I think this happens on the second day in game - where you get all of the news items about retired players). Another possible reason for the slowness is possibly because the game wasn't, as far as I know, designed to take advantage of multiple CPU cores. So the ghz speed of your CPU is more important than the number of cores you have (i.e. an i3 2ghz
might be quicker than an i7 1.75ghz).

All the turkey was used in this thread. Sometimes you need more, sometimes less to get the game working.
