Thei didn't wave him or anything, i think they know nobody will want of him. There's no option. :-D

I know you can buy a player out at any point (after waiving him) in EHM but I think in the real life NHL, there is a certain period of time where you are allowed to buy out players' contracts. It's in the summer, IIRC.

No waive. Habs must figure someone in division will pick him up and that is why just "benching" him. Problem is if Laffs get him...which they would do

By the sounds of that, does that mean Laraque can't play for anyone else this season? Can someone not just sign him tomorow?

Nope. He is getting paid til end of year. Still under contract to Habs.

They can't waive him, he's got a NMC.

Anyone else?
I'm not sure about this one. I agree that the goalie take a chance and take a risk to be hit but a goalie is still a goalie. Maybe if the goalie isn't in is area behind the net, then your autorize to hit him, but not as hard as a foward of defensemen.
To me it looks like as if it is Price who tackles Janssen.
Janssen chases the puck down the ice and Price gets in his way trying to get to the puck.

Nah...Not a bad/horrible play but Janssens needs to do more to avoid Carey. The guy (Janssens) is a proven idiot in the NHL...so I give him no benefit. Carey just tries to protect himself. Not the worst thing...but still not good. (BTW-I do not think it is suspension worthy)

Nothing wrong with it. Price put himself into that position.

The Oilers really are horrible. They tie the game with 1 minute left (3-3). But then concede again with 20 seconds left to lose the game 4-3. Brutal

Kesler just called Ladd a coward.

Why does a Canuck have to keep griping about stuff to the media? Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree here, but you almost can't go a week without someone on that team complaining about something.

I think that Price gone mad because Janssen held his head and mask after they had fell on the ice. Maybe he held it during the fall and wanted Price to be injured... This was really ugly.

My Bruins are stinking up the joint in the worst kind of way. 5 straight losses? That's just pathetic. Word has it that they're very close to making a deal. One story I'm hearing is that they've got a deal lined up for a player from one team that they will then include in a trade with Atlanta that Atlanta supposedly couldn't pass up. I wouldn't be surprised if it's all B.S. though.

So now the local sports media are saying that Kovalchuk to the B's isn't going to happen because Atlanta wants Rask.

It is getting annoying isn't it? There is something not right in the room, and they are taking it out. I dunno. Just ridiculous. And they boycotted speaking to CBC guys on Saturday too. Get on with life boys. That being said, the shot Ladd gave Kes in the playoffs was brutal, but have they not played 3 times since then? Why did it take so long?

In addition..the media in this city is making things worse. Sekeres, Botchford and the boys on the radio keep grinding away on things and making them worse. Botchford in particular.

Atlanta don't need Rask. They have too many goalies already...

That's what I would think. They've got Lehtonen already but he's very fragile. And they've got Pavelec waiting in the wings. Maybe they don't feel confident in either of them?

Lehtonen is done. Thrashers will trade him to Flyers for a 1st rounder or Van Rymsdyk.

Pavelec is just going to be okay, but they have already rushed him too much. Rask is better than both. So it makes them better and he is one of the B's top prospects. Better Rask than Lucic.

They are easily the most boring team in the league. And it's not because they don't score goals...it's because they're lazy. No passion, no desire, accepting defeat, no aggression whatsoever blahblah. It's painful to watch. And do they ever win a game without Savard ? He'd be the best Bruin on the ice if he was in a wheelchair...
I don't want any big rental trades, this team is going nowhere this season anyway. But there shouldn't be any untouchables if we're talking about trading for a signed Kovi...and I'd rather trade 10 Lucics before I consider trading Rask.
One more thing...I can't stand Dave Lewis behind the bench anymore...what ? He's been gone for years ? Didn't notice.

If it's a new trend for teams in the Northeast to fly high one season and then crash down to Earth the next, somebody forgot to let my team fly high. :-p

Tis a new trend. THe fact that the Laffs still suck makes it obvious. They are not allowed into any trend. The centre of the universe only starts trends. The one they started was oh 40 some years ago...the trend of sucking.

Salt in the wound

It is pretty fitting that Cujo retired with the most wins without a Stanley Cup... as a Leaf...

Would explain Toskalol's performance. He just doesn't want to take over as the guy with the most wins without a Cup :D
Speaking of Vesa, he once interrupted two people having sex...he wanted to know how it feels to stop somebody from scoring. Yes I stole that. It's so primitive...yet brilliant :D

*buys extra supply of salt*
*remembers having Wideman on his own team*
*gets drunk*
