I think it doesn't wear off for you since Jeb is a professional drinker*. For us mortals I believe it still does and we'd lose health... and health is much harder to get back than mood.

* That's not just a joke btw, Jeb actually does have the "Proper Drinking Habits" skill, I bought it for him for his b-day :-D

I do believe that's all of us now yeah.

April got her five stars for basic singing with the teaching so I'm working on getting her Lead Vocals skill up now if anyone wants to learn while on tour. She's around 1 and a half right now I think. After that I'm going to work on her dancing then her erotic dancing so she can not repulse people 8-)

Question, is there a way to ask the popomundo personal something? I would like that the put Montreal in the game as there's some French Canadian and we're a fantastic city for bands to come over...

You should go in the devs forum. There's always threads about which city fans want next. ;)

My mood has been taking huge hits this past week. I get it up to 60 or 70% then the next day back down to 13 to 18%. I'm set on the gym and picking flowers. What should i change the flowers to?

Oh, what does the Power Boost bar mean (it's on my Artist Profile)? It's the white lightning bar.

Boost bar fills as you do shows etc. and when it's full it changes to 'RELEASE BOOST' where you have three options:

Boost your repertoire to 100% for every song you have selected with a check mark at the time your release your boost (make sure you have all your songs checked first!!) and then they will begin to go down again just like normal. Advantage being it's your whole rep and to 100% which you'd need everyone in the band to have 5* in your genre skill to get otherwise.

Boost your SQ: A fixed number of Star Quality points to be divided up amongst the band, this is however temporary. Advantage: for a soloist or duo you could get your SQ over 50 to use a stage name much earlier.

Boost your potential ratings for a few shows: Allows you to perform at a higher level than usual, allowing you to get a better rating for a big show. Advantage: Mainly for use if you have a Competition you have a shot at winning and that one or two levels of improvement might seal it for you.

So, early on I suggest that people use the repertoire boost as it saves you a lot of jam time and money from those jams and also lets you reach practice levels that might be impossible for you to reach otherwise. Solo artists might want to use their SQ boost if they get to like 25% Star Quality if they are dying to have a stage name. I'm not sure how useful the ratings for shows boost will be for most bands really.

I'm going to add this to the KB as well

I would also recommend the repertoire boost. I used it once so far, and haven't had to jam since then. It frees up a lot of time and money, which can both be better spent elsewhere(skills). Not to mention, your character will know all his songs at a level that could take forever to jam to.

Okay, especially for newer PopoPeeps if you haven't checked out our Popo section of the Knowledge Base you're missing out on a lot of great info that we've posted as we learned about the game.

I just updated the mood/health posts and put in a little something new about building shows as well as adding my above post as an artcle so that people that weren't here to see it at the time will have it for a reference.

Check out all our articles here:

If you're so down in mood, set yourself to go shopping! (be sure you have cash on you ;)) Composing music instead of picking flowers will have nearly the same effect, but will also give you an other song to your repertory. When your mood will be out of the red zone, you should consider working on your skills, and still go shopping

In the forums, i've seen mentionned that this fixed number is 40%. And as you said, it's then divided equally amongst all the band members.

Not the best time to learn a skill from master/mistress are we're on the road. If you're not in the same bus as your master/mistress when comes the update, it will be lost time for you AND for your master/mistress

By the way, right after the tour i should teach you punk rock

I disagree with you on this one actually, on the road is a great tiem to teach skills as it helps you gain and helps them learn at the same time and what else do you have to do? So if you are going to be on a long trip set yourself to improve your skills instead and then carry on. If it's a skill (like punk rock) that will be useful to the band then it's silly to wait I think just because you might miss an update every few days... if you follow each other there odds are good you'll both hop on the same bus anyhow. :dunno:

I taught the boys Basic Showmanship late in our last tour and didn't miss any updates...
oxenhoper wrote:Kyle is now a five star drummer
Ah... so that explains why you've been getting two stars on the shows lists. Very nice =D>

Yes, but actually we don't have a tour bus, and even if the other members are set to follow me, we're not always (in fact, rarely) in the same bus to travel, resulting in people loosing track, and we're also not always in the same city in the same time. We should have enough money to buy a tour bus in 1 or 2 shows i think, maybe 3. So then we'll always be together and it would be easily possible to teach. And i'd be glad to teach punk rock to John Keating, as it's a really important skill ;) So it's just a few days to wait before things become easier to teach/learn skills
