NO attribute changes and a full change list.

So you guys are still convinced that the original unfaking had attribute changes?

:-k

As for a full change list, doesn't really matter to me.

I'm going to stick with the old one.

Are you saying there is proof out there somewhere that there are no attribute changes in the original unfaking? And we've just been missing it this whole time? :dunno:

As far as I understand it, the original unfaking consists of an outdated SI database, edited by an unknown number of people, with no list of what they changed or didn't change.

The TBL:DB is a clean, 3.04 SI database edited by one person, D88. It includes a list of everything that was altered from it's original SI state.

To me, it does matter that I can see what's been changed. So I'll go with the TBL version. 8-)

Never mind - I needed to give my download manager my user name and password for the file hosting site.

My thanks to Devils88 and all the others here at the Blue Line who constantly work to make a great game even better.

Hi Alan! First, welcome to TBL! =D>

Nice to see you finally succeeded in downloading D88's work! :)

Enjoy your brand new DB! :D And don't hesitate to come and compete in our upcoming challenge, as you can play it with the TBL:DB ;)

i also don't believe that any attributes were changed, and even if there were, i didn't notice anythin thats hugely wrong, i'm currently well into my game, so i havent had time to use the TBL:DB, but as soon as i start again, ill give it a go

Just to make things clear...

We are not convinced that there are attribute changes in the original unfaking, we are just NOT convinced that there were not attribute changes, as many different people worked on it, and as they never provided a list of the changes made, even after we asked them such a list.

Furthermore, the original unfaking project has been made on the 3.0.2 database version, whilst the TBL:DB has been build on the latest up-to-date SI database, that's to say the 3.0.4.

All those things have already been said several times here and at SI, so i hope someone will take time to read it and integrate it in his mind, because it becomes really annoying to say the same thing all over again ](*,)

Then, there is no use to have any kind of rivalry between those projects. I don't see what can be bad in having a choice  So if you want to run the "original" unfaked DB, run with it! If you prefer running the TBL:DB, run with it!

But please stop those useless rivality comments between the two projects!

Both exist, so give them a try, make your choice, and have fun with EHM! That's all what matters afterall! :D

I agree, no point in discussing it over and over again. I personally waited for this one because I knew there's solid work behind it and I was able to check the progress at any time. Since many people seem to be happy with the other I assume it's good as well and there's no question a lot of hard work and time was put into both projects.

Yep...the major difference is...because of what Shadd said above...the unfaking is not allowed for our challenges. We just are not 100% sure as we do not know what has changed or what has not changed.

So...for the challenges it is either the DEFAULT database or TBL:DB

And hopefully, that puts an end to the apparently never ending saga.

right a few ground rules are needed:
1. Anyone who even mentions anything about TBL:DB v Unfaking is getting their post(s) deleted and getting a warning.
2. Keep this on topic

This debate has gone on long enough and is getting us nowhere, it is a completely pointless debate as can be seen from the thread over at SI. There will be no exceptions to the rules above :sgt:

First of all, welcome to the Blue Line, Jobi-wan.

Didn't I see you in a movie somewhere? :-k

Anyways...

The Finnish team names, as you have listed them above have already been changed in the TBL Database file. Rosters for SM-Liiga and Mestis will be updated in the upcoming TBL Roster Update file, which will be released sometime before the start of the next season, and Mestis and Suomi Sarja teams will also be placed into their correct leagues in this process. As for schedule update for 2007-08, I don't think that can be changed, or alteast I don't know how...

A guy called Robin Big Snake just scored against me in the challenge :-?

Is this a mistake or some sort of trademark or does the guy really exist or what ? :p

He's a real guy. I remember in one of the earlier versions of the game the guy used to be one of the better draft picks. IIRC, he's a Native American tough guy that used to play for one of the teams in the WHL. Now he's in some minor league, I think.

Ok this is me being picky so shoot me. But the Sudbury Wolves play at the "Sudbury Community Arena" not just the Sudbury Arena.

(I'll go duck and hide now) :-D

I was bored, needing things to do, to avoid head eplosion, so I changed it for the next version of TBL Update (even if this is not the update thread)
