Is there any way to edit a teams draftpicks? spent around 10 hours on editing everything up-to-date and as reastic as possible but the realism fails a bit when for example : Florida Panthers trades away a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6the choice in exchange for Hudler, Purcell and Kindl but in the game they have only accuired the players without loosing anything..
help would be lovely!

The only way to edit them is by editing an EHM 2007 format DB in the EHM 2007 Pre-game Editor and then import it into EHM 1 (note that EHM 1 DBs cannot be converted to EHM 2007 format). There is currently no way of editing picks in a saved game.

No, it won't. Windows Vista or higher is needed.

While Ive got your attention, do you know a way to export your edited database so that other people can use it? Ive tried to send my database-file and have a friend of mine just simply trying to replace it with his, but it doesnt work...

You just need to send to him the database.db file along with the .cfg files located in the your database's folder.

Can't seem to download the editor. Get the following message: OneDrive is unable to scan EHM DB Editor v0.0.3.zip for viruses.

Trying to add a player (free agent) to a roster in a saved game. I can get him into the line-up, but it shows he doesn't have a contract and is still a free agent, even after I added the contract start and end date. Any ideas?

It's not possible to correctly move players/non-players to other teams in saved games. There's an additional contracts table within the saved game which I haven't decoded and so, although the player will appear on the roster/line-up, his contract data won't be updated.

Hello everyone!
I've some trouble with using the db-editor version 0.0.3/ TBL Rosters v8.1:
How can I change names?
I can change all the attributes, birthdate and -place but the first an last name is greyed!?
I'd be really thankful for some help...

Names are not editable yet. Should be eventually.

Firstly, the editor is great - the design is extremely clean and user friendly. Impressive!
Secondly, apologies if this has already been noted elsewhere on the forum, but I have two small problems:
1) After editing a saved game, players that were on loan never return to their NHL teams, despite it saying that they're with the NHL team on their personal profile page. I then tried to send one of these players (in this instance, Brandon Carlo) to the AHL affiliate of the NHL team but this results in the player then having 'no team'.
2) I then thought I would start a new game with an edited database file. After loading up the the TBL Rosters database file, lots of players have a 'minus' potential rating, e.g. Player Ability 110, Player Potential -14. The players that I checked were Frank Vatrano, Danton Heinen, McDavid, Eichel. I then checked some older players (Stamkos, Crosby) and the potential was a normal number.
Thanks for any help, it will be much appreciated.

I have not used the editor myself yet, but no save-game editor or real-time editor made for EHM or FM can handle transfers, no doubt having to do with the process involved when a person switches teams.

-1 Potential will be between 1-20 (they will likely retire at a young age and keep getting recycled back into the regen pool)
-2 Potential will be between 10-40
-3 Potential will be between 30-60
-4 Potential will be between 50-80
-5 Potential will be between 70-100
-6 Potential will be between 90-120
-7 Potential will be between 110-140 (quite rare – a good prospect with a decent chance of being a regular NHL player)
-8 Potential will be between 130-160 (rare – a top prospect with a good chance of being a talented NHL player)
-9 Potential will be between 150-180 (very rare – a top 10 prospect who is considered a can’t miss NHL talent)
-10 Potential will be between 170-200 (extremely rare – the top player available in a draft, but not every year)
-11 Potential will be between 20-80 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-12 Potential will be between 40-100 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-13 Potential will be between 60-130 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-14 Potential will be between 90-160 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-15 Potential will be between 110-190 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)

I believe this post is still relevant and worth checking out, even though 'twas made for EHM 2007.

I'm glad you're finding it user friendly.
Regarding question 1, and as I mentioned a few days earlier:
archibalduk wrote:It's not possible to correctly move players/non-players to other teams in saved games. There's an additional contracts table within the saved game which I haven't decoded and so, although the player will appear on the roster/line-up, his contract data won't be updated.
As A9L3E says, the negative PAs are used for a bit of variation/randomness from game to game.

That is not exactly true. At least in FM 2014 (the last I played) the in game editor (that you bought from SI) allowed for in game transfers and it worked just fine.

Thank you A9L3E and archibalduk - really helpful!
I got around the loan issue by waiting until the start of July before making any changes to the save file.

I just realized that when you change a team name (for relocation purposes, changing the league etc.) you can't change the city! For example, if I change "Vityaz Moscow Oblast" to "Ilves Tallinn", change the team to Estonian and set the arena in Tallinn, it still says that the team is based in Podolsk under team info in game.
