Newest Roster Update Error:-

1. Dmytro Timashov - Draft Pro got no details. Pls Add.

2. I found alot of 19 y/o player been waived by parent club in order to send to farm team. So far i know only 20 y/o player can be sent down to farm team. Please check.

3. A lot of highly prospect with 1 or 2 season NHL been waived by clubs. For example, Jonas Brodin of Wild.

4. NJ Devils retired no. of 27 & 30 still not added. Please add.

I will try find any prob and will report asap. Now trying to play and check the error first.

Specific player names/examples would be helpful I think, as I believe teenage players without Major Junior rights can be sent to an NHL farm team...what is odd is that 19 year olds would require waivers (as they're on entry level contracts and shouldn't require waivers to be involved)

Oh izit true prospect without Major Junior right can be sent down? I never knew..thanks for inform..

1. Carey Price historical stats for the 2013-2014 season are missing. It's only written 59 GS, but everything else is to 0.

2. Tomas Plekanec contract is marqued as 6m for 2 years, but in fact the real contract is 7m for 2016-2017 and 5m for 2017-2018, for a 6m cap hit.

I just started a game with the new TBL Rosters, and Timashov shows as not waiver eligible, with both NHL and QMJHL Rights; while it's true his draft data's not in game (I suspect because draft data can't be entered using a spreadsheet but has to be done individually for every player, and there's limited volunteer researcher time), it makes no difference in game because he has the Rights needed

Entry-level contract players should never be eligible for waivers. It is a bug

Draft info is just cosmetic once signed. Takes too much time to add all junior drafts manually as we have to edit each player separately

We cannot edit contracts to be different year-by-year so we go by cap hit

im playing with 9.0b DB and NHL rookies include Tavares Seguin Hall etc.How can i change that?Those guys are stealing calder trophy from Patrk Laine

Mistake in new roster

1. Devante Smith-Pelly is Right hand but in game is Left.

I found out that Trophy list is missing alot of previous winner starting 2012/13 and onwards..all of trophy categories.

i found Goalie Catch is wrong.

Keith Kinkaid catch is left, but in game is right.
Darcy Kuemper catch is left, but in game is right.

Some quick New York Rangers thoughts:
Why can Nick Holden play RW?
Dan Girardi moves too well in this game, Kevin Klein looks overrated.
Marc Staals skating looks a bit too good.
Millers bravery and off the puck looks really low.
Rick Nash is an elite dangler, 16 deking and 14 stickhandling doesn't reflect that at all, his wrister is good but 17 is a bit too high.
Pirri should have a better shot, it's pretty much elite and the only reason he's in the NHL, he's an AHL player with an elite shot.
Zibanejads biggest asset is his slapshot, not sure why his wrister is 17 and his slapshot 11, i would have his slapshot over 15 and his wrister at 14ish.
Kevin Hayes is a playmaking C, think of a mini Joe Thornton, his attributes should reflect that. He's an average skater (looks slightly weird out there) who's got great stickhandling and vision and who protects the puck amazingly well. He should be completely rebalanced imo, down with the skating, deflections, slapshot etc and up with vision, stickhandling, deking etc.
Zuccarello is one of the most creative players in the league, 15 in vision/creativity doesn't reflect that.

Ryan Graves has really improved offensively in the last few years (started to evolve during his last year in juniors), he's got a really good shot.
Pavel Buchnevich just needs a boost, he was a very good scorer in KHL and had a really good start to his rookie season before he got injured. Got a good slapper.
Boo Nieves is a VERY good skater, almost made the team out of camp.
Marek Hrivik can play C and should be good enough to play in the NHL as a 4th liner (not necessarily good enough to play on NYRs 4th line).
Igor Shestyorkin is a top 3 goalie prospect in the world, lighting up the KHL at 20, his attributes should be that of a top goalie in the KHL right now and his PA that of a top goalie prospect in the world.
Sean Days skating and offensive abilities needs to go up, he still looks lost in his own zone, think of a mini mini Byfuglien.

I haven't looked at the CA/PA at all, only the attributes.

A few thoughts come to mind from a researcher/editing perspective...

Nash is an "underachiever" and can't be given elite Attributes because sometimes he does something impressive (and 17-19 is for the "best of the best" who perform "game in and game out" and that's not Nash)

Same type of reasoning applies to Zuccarello (15 in Vision/Creativity is actually quite high) & for Pirri's shot (his production doesn't support the idea he's an elite shooter)

Regarding Igor Shestyorkin.....being a "top goalie" in the KHL doesn't mean much at all



FYI - I'm not looking to debate your view/opinions on the players, just trying to share what is and isn't helpful from a researching/editing perspective...

When researching/editing you don't look at one team/player in isolation, you look at things from an "entire League perspective" (and often an entire world perspective), and the actual numbers matter greatly (as do comparisons of players ratings).....saying that players should be better/worse without any comparison to other players isn't usually helpful (from a researcher/editing perspective), and using actual numbers (Attributes, CA/PA) when comparing is necessary, as is keeping in mind the game effects of giving players Attributes that will result in higher than realistic production

I kind of agree with Nash somewhat but his strength is his stickhandling, size and power, so he should be rebalanced atleast.

15 vision/creativity is quite high, but it's not high enough for Zuccarello, he's got elite vision and even though i get your point that he can't have the same vision in the game as he does IRL just because he would (maybe) produce too much in the game then but it should still be over 15 imo.

Actually, Pirris production does support the idea that he's an elite shooter, check his G/60 stats over his career for example. He just doesn't get enough ice time to score more in total because the rest of his game is AHL level. I do however get that he maybe can't have 18+ shooting because he might score too much but i still think it's low.

Being a top goalie in the KHL actually does mean much but that's beyond the point. His numbers in the game should be that of a top goalie in the KHL in the game, that was my point.

Most of my opinions are in a grey zone and should be discussed and weighed against other stuff, but some of my points are pretty black/white honestly, like Kevin Hayes being weirdly balanced and a RW for some reason.

Most of the time i try to be as broad as possible, but sometimes you have to go into specifics. I don't expect you to implement everything i write, but i do hope that you read through it and think about it atleast

I knew you'd have the Rangers under your microscope Haha. But anyway whatever you like it's good to have comments on stuff. Anything is basically better than nothing at all.

His position attributes are too high on forward. He should be "able" to play forward better than most D-men in NHL as Patrick Roy had him as forward in Colorado for... well I don't know how many games. Should be lower than 15 so it wouldn't list him as an RW also.

A bit like Juuse Saros before he left Liiga in comparison I'd say. Anyway I'm not responsible for any prospects outside NHL.

People who now are playing the new database can you let me know how the Calder trophy went the first season?
In my simulation tests before the release I didn't have player history updates so I had McDavid taking most Calder's as he was considered a rookie by the game.

In my only save so far with the new database Patrik Laine won the Calder, McDavid wasn't counted as a rookie(thankfully).

Thanks. McD shouldn't be either, you have updated player histories in NHL. I didn't at the time.

CJ - Aight, didn't know Roy used him as F for a bit, still think it should be below 10

My biggest gripes with how NYR is rated is definitely Nash 'low' deking/stickhandling and all of Kevin Hayes, you should really look at those 2 in particular imo, great job overall though

Zibanejad didn't really slap any goals last season. Only one real slapshot goal. Dunno how that would be an "asset".

I can't see that video but his slapshot is really good and his wristshot while good isn't a '17' imo, not sure how Sens used him on the PP but in NYR we pretty much built our PP around his slapshot before his injury.

Looking at Max Domi's Attributes today I noticed he has a 5 for Fighting...seem like maybe that should be a little (lot!) higher HaHa
