Dallas Stars and Loui Eriksson make 6-year-extension to Loui's contract, worth of 25,5 million dollars.

It's nice to hear good news from Dallas.

I have some difficulty with the new way in the NHL to sign there young player. Loui score 36 goals last year and it's great for the Star, bit it was his first years with such great performances, then they give him a big contract, for me, it's sound risky, what will happen if he never score 20 goals again? Like Cheechoo? Just take Brassard at CLB, 4 millions a year with only 35 games played and 29 points. Brassard will be good for sure and he demonstrate it but you know, it's too earlier to give such big contract, there's plenty of exemple in the NHL like this.

Yeah, that's like gambling. But those players are youngsters, eh? I think it's bigger risk to make big contract like Isles make with DiPietro, i don't think he plays hockey in 2019, even in 2014. Other examples are Luongos contract (but i'm sure that he plays to the end of his contract) cause when his contract ends, he is over 40 years old. And then there's Marian Hossa and Brian Campbell. Those signings are big risks too.

Did somebody saw the funny news about Semenov?
His wife don't want to quit Russia and for this Semenov won't report to the Rangers if his wife don't come.....or something like this. This is certainly the most stupid news i've read since a couple of times.
Women power.

I was glad to see the Bruins turn it around and have a great game tonight. That's how I like to see them play! And Lucic destroyed Harrison. Thornton put a good beating on his guy too. Lots of tempers flaring in this game once the score got up there.

It's similar to Pronger case few years ago. He demanded to leave Edmonton due to his wife. She wanted to walk sunny boulevards and do some shopping there. So he moved to Anaheim

Brad Stuart's wife caused a big mess a few years back too. She wanted to go back to California and he was an impending UFA, so he got shipped out.

Wow what a week for goalies in the NHL. Boy are they off to a great start! I feel real bad for Emery and Niemi...how dare they buck the trend and make those overpaid superstars look so good!!!

Why Luongo? He allowed 8 goals in two games, while Craig Anderson gained shutout against Canucks.

Because he either completely missed the sarcasm or the games this week where Luongo, kiprusoff, khabibulin, osgood , ward, Thomas, Quick, Toskala, Price, Fleury, Lundquist, Varlamov, Huet, Vokoun and others had stellar 3 or more goals against performances and nobodys like Emery, Niemi and Anderson were studs. My guess is the latter since any comment anyone makes about the NHL is followed with a comment from hensel, who claims to be a hockey fan not a canucklehead, about either how great the nucks are or to rip them. My guess...he did not even see a score this week that did not involve the Luongos. But to each there own.

Just hope that Emery keep is head on his shoulder and still be able to pass through to the door after such a good return in the NHL. I really like to see the Flyers go far with Emery, when everybody think it was a bad move.

Maybe he change a little after is journey in Russia.
I always think he was a great goalie back in OTT when he lead them in the Stanley Cup final. After some mistakes ( really stupid one ), everybody forgot what he did last season, but still the performances were there. Show to your detractor that you can still make the job!

Yep Emery definitely could be the answer in Philly. I mean, they always do well when their goalie is a goon.

Buddy, whats your problem? Your jumping down my throat every time I say something. I am a canuck fan...your point? I am also a hockey fan...your point? Everyone has a favorite team, is it not frustrating when your "star" "franchise" goalie is playing terribly? Toskala, Khabibulin, Osgood, Ward (maybe), Thomas, Quick, Price, Fleury, Lundqvist, Varlamov, Huet and Vokun arent even close to the caliber of goaltending any "hockey fan" expects from a guy like Luongo. Roberto Luongo is arguably the best goalie in the league with Kipper and Brodeur. I got the sarcasm, i just worded my sentance poorly...im sorry?? Now, since I already proved your lack of hockey knowledge I see no point in doing it again and will "attempt" to end this conversation here. Completely un-related to batdad being a B**** I think its hillarious how Niemi and Anderson are getting shutouts!!! I dont know how Anderson stopped all 35 of Vancouvers shots, he just tossed his body in random directions and it worked out, but hey, maybe he needs to give Louie a few lessons down at the other end
