LOL! We've all see so many players come and go that could have made our team so much better. That's what's so challenging about this challenge. :-D

Challenging is to stay calm - or at least as calm as possible

33 games into the season and I've finally got Stastny into the top 5 (he's #4 actually) in scoring for the league. Svatos is 4th in the league in goals and 1st in shots. Stastny is 2nd in assists. McLeod is 5th in PIM.

Bad luck just got worse... 2 weeks after Tucker is out for 8 months he retires due to injury

I at least got 2.4 mill compensation from the insurance agency... Doesn't do much for his scoring though :help:

Glad to have you aboard dude! Print out the Cheatsheet and don't forget to grab the updated stats recording spreadsheet.

And eric, that's rough news about Tucker! :-o IRL, I can't stand the dude, so I wouldn't mind if he was horribly injured in my game as well. I'm probably looking at a last place or close to it finish in the first season anyway. ;)

Seriously? That's a HUGE discount! How did you manage to pull that off? In order to retain his right, you have to offer $3.5M to him. Then if he turns it down you go to arbitration. Doesn't the arbitrator pick a number over the qualifying amount?

:-k

I'm looking at 6-8th place finish in my game.

Man I'm only still on game 20... I intend to be going for the playoffs in 3rd seed or above. On pace for 60 wins, 4 losses and 16 ties, + 2 extra games, I'll say loss and tie.

60-5-17 = 137 pts. I don't think I can pull that off... Maybe 105 pts?

Who thinks I can pull that off? :-D

I've been floating between 6th and 8th in the Western Conference all season long. I'm at game 35 and I'm hoping to maybe make it to 5th place by the time get to the 40 game mark.

If anyone wins the cup I'll be darn impressed. I don't think my team can make it that far... maybe conference finals at the best. Well you never know though, right?

2nd overall pick for me, so cam fowler is now in the system. Other than the first round, this draft really sucks. the 32nd overall pick, my recommendations included guys with 4th line predictions. there are some third line predictions left but man its like the talent falls off a cliff ater the top 10.

I guess, not, i offered him the qualifing offer and he refused, so he went to arbitration. The arbiter offered him a one year 712k contract. I proceeded to jump around and do the happy dance :-).

I just started in on the challenge and already I'm behind the 8-ball. I set up a tournament for the Avalanche to play in (with Jokerit, Moscow Dynamo and Djurgardens) as part of my pre-season regimen, and not 5 minutes into game one again Djurgardens, John-Michael Liles goes down for 4 months with a UCL tear. There goes any thought I had of making the playoffs!

rubbish I forgot. Talk about insane inconsistency. I finally got game 5 and 6 of my exhibition in. Game 5 I beat Columbus 9-0. Game 6 next night I lose 9-2 to Washington. Mind you had 3rd and 4th goalies split game 6, and did not dress Stastny, Wolski or Svatos....

Wow Liles is like my rock on the blue line... Nobody else has done much on offence for me from the blue line. My O comes from 1st 2nd and a bit of 3rd line.

I will post any and all screenshots :)

He really is playing great.

Quincey / Duchene / Svatos
He actually does pick it up, I brought him up 22 games in and he has been a pleasant surprise considering i lost Wolski and Tucker(Wolski just about to come back). Check shots below. He is going between 1st and 2nd lines.

I'm actually getting decent point production out of Liles, Clark, Preissing, and Quincy. Foote and Hannan my two stay-at-home guys that don't put up points. Salei is just played when there are injuries.
