Nothing good in that for me either.
Flames have sign Stajan to a four years/ 3.5 millions a year.

It's Toivonen and Richmond for Fallon and Daryl Boyle.
And here's one that may be of some interest to the Challenge 16 participants:
Oilers send Denis Grebeshkov to Nashville for a 2nd rounder.

I want Visnovsky to be moved. He was devastated and cried after the bronze medal game, and he deserves much better than sucky Edmonton! Send him back to LA or something

That Hawks trade is to bolster their goaltending depth. toivonen is unlikely to play, but in case of injury would be called up. It is clear that they do not think Crawford can play if Niemi or Huet get hurt. And Fallon is not ready either. Toivonen is closer to being able to help if needed .Danny Richmond is d-depth for them in the minors without any cap hit or financial issues. Do not expect to see Richmond in a Hawks jersey again ever.
The two guys sent to St Louis. Boyle is a prospect with some 5-6 potential and Fallon may one day be able to play in the show. Blues have no strong youth goaltending that they like. Fallon is an attempt to get some.

He should be traded, Oilers isn't his team. Maybe comeback to LA, like you said. He is one of my favorite players on NHL -games.
Atlanta acquired Evgeni Artyukhin from Anaheim for Nathan Oystrick and 2011 draft pick (unknown round).

Toivonen was a highly regarded goalie prospect a few years ago. He had his confidence ruined and never seemed to bounce back from that. You never know. He might still be able to make it some day.

Anybody familiar with Steve Kampfer? He's a college defenseman. The Bruins just acquired him from the Ducks for a 4th round pick.

I liked Kampfer.

He's the top scoring Defenseman in Michigan this year.
He's a bit of a victim. Bad stories follow him. A few years back he was beaten up by a college footballer beat him up resulting in him cracking his skull and vertebra. He was then involved in another bad incident a year back. Where 2 players jumped him on the ice.

Hmmm... interesting. Sounds like a decent prospect. I wonder about these incidents though. Is it bad luck or does he have some character flaws? I wonder what triggered the football player to attack him.

Chris Chelios goes to Atlanta Thrashers
He works hard in AHL to get NHL-contract.

Yeah. I'm not sure about Kampfers character. I haven't seen or heard anything to say hes a bad guy.
Ottawa have acquired Sutton for a 2nd rounder. Lot's of D-men moving for 2nd rounders.

And will get pushed out at the latest in the 2nd round. But you knew that was coming...
Where is that "beating a dead horse smiley". It is perfect for a team that calls itself the Senators yet uses a Trojan as its logo.

well they are going to beat the rangers tonight if you even care. What is your favourite NHL team?

I do not have one bud. I like good hockey. Don't care who is playing as long as it is good hockey. Some teams rarely provide it (Flo, Nas, NYR, NJ, Ott, Min, CBJ, TB) so I dislike them a bit. The bore me. They are neither physical, nor offensive minded...and they play that stupid trap too much. Minnesota is changing, so my opinion of them may change. Same for Rangers and Columbus. The others on that list, just do not make me interested.

Emery gone for the year with hip surgery. I guess the Flyers will want a goalie now...

Yep. Roloson is the target. Has been even before Emery was announced. Vokoun is their runner up. And maybe they end up with Huet. BWAH! Kidding on the Huet.
Canucks are in the running for Hamhuis according to radio here. Mitchell is out for a long time, and could be done for year, so need the dman desperately. Corey Schneider and Mikael Grabner are said to be avail as are Bernier and Unwellplastic.

I heard the Bruins had working on a deal for Hamhuis during the break but Nashville wanted a 1st, so they backed off. I know Hamhuis is good but I think they're asking a lot if this is true.

I think it's way too much to. I also think that Sutton for a second is big, the Isles may be happy about that one. Sutton is not much more to me than a 4th or a 5th.
