I'm surprise that the Avs have trade Wolski. Seems they give up on him. Mueller asn't prove much more than Wolski yet so it's four 25 cent for one dollar for me. :dunno:

I've been to work all day and i don't have any surprise right now, pretty boring trade deadline so far.

I don't think so, he is very good backup goalie.

Blockbusters were before Olympics... Phaneuf, OJ, Stajan, Hagman. But deadline has been boring.

Yes, Kovalchuk and Phaneuf were the biggest so far. But sometimes there's great surprises after 3 o'clock.

I'm hearing something involving the Bruins and the Oilers with Ryder going to Edmonton and Staios and Cogliano coming to Boston. If this is true, I'm guessing the Bruins are giving up more than just Ryder.

I've heard they run out of time about that trade, so nothing happens.

There's a lot of deals that don't get announced until after the deadline. Still, I heard this one fell through.

This is certainly the most boring deadline I've seen since I'm interest in hockey.

The boards have turned into a news website.

Give an opinion people... That's the most interesting thing. News can be found everywhere.

Why does Burke have to call a press conference every time he does something!

Is it because he loves the spotlight?

No other GM's do that...

You can say that again.

I really expected more. I'm still scratching my head of the Bruins' moves. Essentially, they trades Derek Morris, Byron Bitz, Craig Weller, and a 2nd round pick for Seidenberg and a 4th. This saves them less than $1M in cap space, I believe. Was it worth giving up a 2nd round pick to shed a little cap space and get a marginal upgrade over Morris? I don't think so. The only way this would have been acceptable is if this was done to make room for another player coming over in another deal.
