Boy do Galchenyuk looks good since they finally gave him #1 center spot. The kid got alot of talent for sure. I think in his last third he has 6 pts. I just hope that if one game goes bad, Therrien will not drop him second line wing or something.

Nash got the 4-2 goal in hindsight which makes it his first Rangers hattrick last night

Who would have guessed during last years playoff that Nash would be one of the leagues best players after the first 30 games?

Gus Nyqvist's solo effort (OT goal) yesterday was pretty funny.

Any Oilers fan? I just published a translated interview with Nail Yakupov, as usual, he is a great interview.
Have a good read:

Also Dany Heatley got ignored too.

Pittsburgh gave up 1:st round pick and Klinkhammer for David Perron (EDM).
I wouldn't have given away the first round pick for just an ok player.

Ok player? Perron has been pretty good since the beginning of his career but not much in Edmonton and it's quite understandable.

I don't think it's worth a 1st pick either but with Crosby or Malkin he's going to be pretty solid.

Anyone will be solid with those guys.

Yeah he's not great as in a "solid first line guy", he's just okay. The role he's playing he should be scoring more imo.

Perron is a really skilled played who is probably going to score a Adam Oates ton of points next to Crosby/Malkin. I think that trade made Pens super scary going forward actually.

I'm surprised they fired him now when they're in the "playoffs".

I'm not surprised he'd be fired, but did think they'd wait until the end of the season. There are a lot of other problems with that team besides coaching.

Yeah, me too!
Great to defeat the Ducks on the road. Now I want (a small) revenge on the Kings tonight

How can LeBrun even attempt to call himself an expert, does he even watch NHL?
http://t.co/ZcXxXqUXUa his midseason awards. The awards in itself i dont have a big problem with allthough i would change a few but look at the "contenders". Stamkos over Johnson, Tavares over Nash, no Malkin, no Tarasenko, Giroux over Voracek for Hart for example is just laughable. Then he has Halak, Bernier and Bobrovkyi for Vezina? Selke is also weird but thats usually a popularity award anyway.
Ticks me off.

Haha... you're right they're laughable. Where did he pick those Vezina GKs from!?
Rinne for Vezina and Hart!

From your link...not sure where you see Halak in Vezina running. THe three he mentions as top 3 are all having ridiculous years. Rinne, Price, Fleury. Then he has a list that includes 7 other goalies...so 1/3 of the league starters. A long list to say the least. Bernier at best is questionable in the top 10 goalies in the league, but the rest of them all have one number or so that shows they belong.
Plus the contenders he lists are not in order of how he ranks them, otherwise Fleury would be given the 1/2 season Vezina. As for Stamkos over Johnosn? Well....would Johnson be doing anything without a guy like Stamkos? Who makes who better? Stamkos make Johnson better, or Johnson make Stamkos.
John Tavares is becoming a super leader and amazing player. I would suggest strongly that you watch the Islanders team and what is going on there. They are good. Real good. Even with the injuries they have gone through. That being said...Nash has been awesome.
And again...Giroux-Voracek. Sure Jakub is having a great season, but well....who is really making that tick? Claude or him? All Voracek has to do is work and the kid is going to score...he is a big boy and playing with a guy as smart and quick as Claude it is not a shock to me that he is doing well.....but yeah, maybe doing too well so far for what he really is.
Malkin---Well yeah he is good. But he is a 2nd line centre. In no way would you ever even select him as the MVP of his own team never mind the league. Two guys at least ahead of him the way Fleury is playing and of course Sid.
