It's 14M in cap space, a few teams would be able to approach it, but the price asked in the first place by Dorion must be VERY high also.

I heard like the equivalent 7 players or something like that. (Draft picks counts as a "player")

It seems Tampa is still working very hard to get something on the pipe (according to some trustable Ottawa insiders).

If it was on EHM, as Yzerman, I'd try something with 1st pick, Sergachev, Johnson and some other stuff..

So stupid that Vegas are paying 40% of his salary just because he wasn't traded to the west. Those things should be banned imo.

Plekanec is going to be a healthy scratch tonight for MTL. Seems like a trade is in the work regarding him.

Boston gets Nash.
Rangers gets Spooner, Beleskey, 1st round pick, 7th round pick and a prospect. (Lindgren? I think)

Man if Nash worth that much, I can't imagine what MTL could have for Pacioretty.

Plekanec to Maple Leafs, along with Baun.

In return, 2018 2rnd pick, Valiev and Baun.

I am waiting for the Erik Karlsson to TBL blockbuster.

Wasn't expecting Plekanec to end up in Toronto!

Burrows and Oduya were put on waivers.

I don't know the reasons behind it but I just read that Jordan Staal's daughter passed away. What a sad news, she probably wasn't that old too. :(

Trade deadline today.

I'm still confident about EK65 to TBL now instead of this summer...

Anyway :

Still don't get why the Sens would do that. :dunno: They have a good core with him, Stone, Hoffman and Chabot.

It seems he is in a tense situation with owner Melnyk, and I've read from various sources that he's reluctant to extend his contract with Senators.

From a DG point of view, it's a blockbuster trade or loose him for nothing next year..

Hawks sent Hartman and a 5th pick to Nashville for their 1st rounded, 4th round and Victor Edjsell. Hartman value is that high seriously? :-?

Winnipeg got Paul Stastny for their 1st round, 4th round and Eric Foley. Wasn't expecting that one though.

Nice deal for both teams on the Hartman trade, Nashville gets really strong for the PO and Chicago earns a very high price in return !

Winnipeg gets also a very serious asset, some scorers will see their stat go up with a guy like Stastny to set up plays !

Scheifele, Little, Stastny and Perreault is a pretty good group of centers. :-p

What are Ducks thinking traiding away Chris Wagner for 38 year old Jason Chimera. :nerd:

RANGERS

Yep, I agree, I feel like that's a very nice trade for the Tampa Bay Lightning, however I'm hearing that the conditional second round pick turns into a first rounder if TBL win the Stanley Cup in the next two years which would make this deal much better for the Rangers. Overall, at this moment, Tampa and Yzerman got a steal.

Ouch, I hadn't seen that the second pick could also become a 1st.

That's a steeeeeep price Yzerman paid after saying he wouldn't.

I hope Tampa can get a Cup soon enough. McDonagh isn't the player he was 2-3 years ago. He's still good but more fragile. Nonetheless, Tampa is even more terrific now.

I think that because it's only steep if the Lightning win the cup, it doesn't really matter for Yzerman as the end goal is to win a Stanley cup. If you achieve that, I don't think you're too bothered with losing a 1st round pick, at least I wouldn't be.
