Agree. And the player may have favorite staff from the team he played in the past (more seasons ago), but was replaced by his current favorite staff (the team staff he plays for now, if any). Then you don't know his REAL favorite preferences. Weird...
BTW, I suppose that favorite staff affects only player preferences during contract negotiations. Nothing more (performace or attributes...). Am I right?

Edit: Now that I clicked on the link in your post... the command also makes those mental characteristics viewable for all players.
Care to enlighten the rest of us as to what this command is?

Well, I'm not sure how the SI guys will react if they ever read it, but here you go:
Add the line "DEBUG_MODE" to your extra_config.cfg file (including the "" !!). That's all. You have to start a new savegame for it to work.
Like I said, SI removed all threads where this was mentioned a couple of years ago. If anyone (mods?) find this as suspect as I do, then delete this post...

I think the DEBUG_MODE thing was posted here somewhere before. I don't see a problem with it really. IIRC, it had another purpose too.
As for the favorite staff, it may be taking this thread a little of subject but... I've always wondered if it affected the way a line performs. If you've got a player on a line with one of his favorite players, will he perform better? Kind of like the old "click" attribute of the freeware game.

I've always wondered this exact thing too. As i have a player in juniors that has two of my other NHL roster players as favorites. And i was wondering if i put him with the other two on a line if they would produce alot more than just a random makeshift line...?

Just found this guy. I'm guessing it is a Lecavalier regen considering the height and the fact that Lecavalier retired the year before this guy appeared.

I think that Favorite Staff is comparable to Favorite Teams. That matters only if player or non-player is gonna move to another team.

Has to be Teemu Selänne regen? Drafted him as #59 2012. Has spent 2 years in WHL along with my first round pick (#6 overall) at Saskatoon.
127 games, 118 goals, 132 assists. Saskatoon has gone to the Memorial Cup both years and both years went out in the semis

I don't think so. Selanne has flair=19, determination=16 and has RW/LW positions. These attributes don't match to your draftee.

Those attribute can change when it's a regen, nothing is similar, Hasek doesn't have a great work rate and in my game he have 19( the regen ) so i think this don't mean anything but for the LW you're right Mcqwak if the position isn't the same this cannot be Selanne regen.

well i checked in the editor, note that im using a db by Systemfel so might be something different. And he has the same PA, same height, same weight, same ability in LW/C/RW

Several attributes stay the same from player to regen. One is Flair and one is Bravery. Also, the player's position and handedness remain the same. He will usually be born in the same country, but not necessarily the same city. The player's height will be close to or the same as the regens.
If you really want to know who this guy is, the easiest thing to do is to start a new game with "Fog of War" off and look at Selanne closely with the things I mentioned. I would do it for you but I don't know what database you are using.

It has to be Selänne. They have the same concistency, same height, same weight, same PA, same ability in playing LW/C/RW.
If its not I have no freakin idea who it is (;
heres selänne (i guess its the same as in Lidas):

I'm looking for the 6'6 OHL'er AKA Travis Moon (Pronger) from my previous game over a year ago. He came into the NHL and was a beast from the start. He won the Art Ross and Norris at 21. 137 points LOL.
There is a Konrad Boudreau but he's from the WHL; attributes are very similar however his NHL output isn't even close. Perhaps it's because I updated the rosters a long while ago which also made the scoring more realistic. No more 170 point seasons for Ovechkin; on pace to beat Gretzky.

Those name could never help you now. The regens name always change game after game, you just need to check the height, weight, position, the hand they shoot and the country to found a regen.

Oh yeah and sorry the consistency too.

Can't help you with a name but if you're in 2010 he is probably a regen. Did you check if he got consistency in his personal info?
