darn it!! That's the second week I almost won. I could smell victory, before it was snatched away. 4-5-2 last week and 5-6-1 this week. If I keep this up I'll never win a week.

How about that!
The guy I picked up (Hagman) to replace Kovalchuk scores a hat-trick on the power-play. I'm gonna give Batdad his first loss of the season

Anyone looking for a center? Only Stamkos is untouchable on my team and I'm looking for wingers

"Hi there, I would like to introduce myself, I am Manimal. My favorite thing in life is to count chickens. I especially love to say 1 chicken, 2 chicken, 3 chicken....but all I see on the ground are eggs while I am doing this. Then later when I recount and see chickens, I say rubbish...there are no chickens, only yolks"

Anyway, it is not like I did not concede this game before it even happened. I think that so far I have been extremely lucky to win.

Yes..yes it will. But you may not have enough yolks. I am now up to 5 chickens in your stable. Once you reach 10, I have no hope.

By today's count..Manimal has had a few too many eggs turn into yolks. This is gonna get interesting. Will he have chicken for dinner? or will he end up with a yolk smoothie for breakfast?

Batdad, what colour is your puck if the ice is black?

Considering it's Batdad? I'm going to have to say it's "hot pink". I can't confirm if it's got purple polka dots on it though.

Man...B72 so peeved at you. How did you know? My first thought was hot pink minisk....oh wait pucks, not puckgirls.... yeah, pink.

Getz-Counting chickens before they hatch, which is what Manimalista did.

You know they were actually thinking of new rink colors a few years back? Something like blue ice, with orange "blue lines" and stuff.

Not sure whatever happened to that though...

I'm hoping they took the person that suggested that out to an alley and beat them. That would've been BAD!

Speaking of blue ice and odd colors, when I was growing up I remember the ice from some rinks looking different on TV. I'm pretty sure it was the NY Islanders' rink that looked different on TV. It almost had a blue-ish tint to it. I'm guessing it was something to do with the lighting or cameras that they had there.

Yeah the Isles ice was a little blue tinted. I think there were a couple of others too. LA comes to mind... And they were tinted. Most rinks were back in the days of rubbish arse TV pictures and cameras. Just some had more than others, so it showed up more. I used to go to the Coliseum in Vancouver and wonder why the ice was not blue when I was there.

Really? I didn't know that they actually were tinted. I just thought it was the result of different cameras at the different rinks. The Boston Garden ice looked normal but when they'd visit some teams it would look so strange.

Yep, I am 99.9% sure they were tinted a little in the past.

Oh I forgot...Manimal: you have remained at 5 eggs. Only reason it is not down is you have fewer days left to screw up your counting.
