Sometimes I hate him yes, but hating somebody doesn't mean I can't admit he's a good ref. There's not much ref left that got balls as you said, that's why he's good to me.

Gary Bettmen says that it will cost $400 million start a new NHL franchise in southern ontario. Of course this is only the enterance fee.

He's also claiming that he can get a bigger TV deal. I'll believe it when I see it.

As for new franchises starting, they've got ones that are struggling already. Why not relocate instead of expanding? Quality over quantity please!

On a side note, another wave of expansion would really screw up EHM for us.

Yes quality over quantity, did Buttman know that? Don't think so....this guy is so stupid I can't believe it. The expension will not just screw EHM, it will screw the entire NHL, with 30 teams the talent is hard to divide up already, imagine with 32 or 34 teams! There will be so much players who didn't deserve to play in the NHL that will be there because they just need players. ( There's already enough that didn't deserve it now )

Captain Obvious says...relocation does not get the owners extra money. No way will a team move to Southern Ontario. It will 100% be an expansion team. Too valuable a market to give away.

So he'd rather see franchises fail and continuously lose money, have those franchises fold, and then expand a new franchise into the new area. Sure, that's healthy for the league.

Ok, Jatkoaika.com just said that their 15 games losing streak came to it's end.

I check Isles schedule at their website and it looks that you're right.

Yes I see it this morning on TV after writing my post. :-D

Habs/Flyers tonight i'm eager to see this game, the Habs need to win this one or they're done.

I was watching some stats and if it wasn't from his injuries I think that Daniel Sedin will be right behind his brother and Ovy, he got 76 points in 58 games. That's pretty good! Too bad he's been injure, it would be nice to maybe have the 2 best marker been twin. I will wait 25 years and wait for B's 72 twin. :-D

Bruins get shutout by the Panthers on home ice. Krejci and Recchi publicly calling out team mates. Julien has finally demoted Ryder to the 4th line and changed all units, according to today's practice. It's like a soap opera. ](*,)

This will be the one time that the Leafs have a late season stretch without making the playoffs, and it's a good thing! In reality, anywhere they finish in the standings will be a good pick for the Bruins. But if they can pull themselves out of the lottery range, it will be an easier pill to swallow.

I haven't been paying enough attention, so I am curious as to whether these randomly terrible games are Roberto Luongo's own fault. I've seen some goals on him that just aren't typically ones that he would let in, but can it be said that his team needs to play tighter in front of him, and not leave it to Luongo to keep the score low?

But congratulations to Andrew Raycroft, who now has the best GAA and SV% on the team.

Oufff the race is tight in the west for the 8 spot! I really hope the Avs will make it into the playoff, even if I think they will not past the first round ( exept if they get the Sharks :-D ), this would still be a great accomplishment for a team who alot of persons wasn't expect anything.

Selänne scored 2+1 and he has now 603 careergoals in NHL. He has scored 17th most goals in the league and most of finnish players (Kurri scored 601). =D>

Thank god the Hawks won today! They were talking about the "last 10 games" and having good performances for the run in the cup. Have they won like 1 of their last 5? 4-0 over the Wild? I hope they can rectify this skid before the 1st round - it'd be horribly upsetting for my playoff beard to only last 1 round!!!!

The Bruins have earn a very important point yesterday for the playoffs race but that goal in OT from WAS was impossible to stop for Rask.

Jaroslav Halak named first star of the week! Keep on the good job. For a second year in a row the Canadiens should thanks Halak for making the playoffs.

As the season winds to a close, and the second season is soon upon us, anyone want to chime in on their award opinions? I couldn't say for certain as of right now, but I can certainly consider some nominees in no particular order.

Hart: Ovechkin, H. Sedin, and Bryzgalov
Vezina: Miller, Rask, Brodeur
Norris: Green, Keith, Doughty
Calder: Rask, Duchesne, Myers
Lady Byng: Richards, Kane, Datsyuk
Selke: Kesler, Toews, Datsyuk
Masterton: Gustavsson, Elias, Holmstrom
Lester Pearson: Ovechkin, H. Sedin, Rask

It was a toss up for me between Bryz and Brodeur.

Keith Ballard must be a great teammate. If he doesn't take a swing at his own goalie, he throws the puck in his own goal!
