Renney works for Hockey Canada in some sort of upper management capacity. They basically swapped him out for Tony Granato on the bench. I didn't know Nill poached McDonnel though ouch.RomaGoth wrote:Not sure if this was mentioned, but Tom Renney is no longer an assistant coach with the Detroit Red Wings and Joe McDonnell is no longer a scout with the Wings, he is with the Dallas Stars.
And I see Granato is missing from the Wings in game.steviewhy wrote:Renney works for Hockey Canada in some sort of upper management capacity. Yes, Nill took McDonnell with him to Dallas along with Mark Leach. I was just going to mention the Tony Granato thing but looks like there is no need.Manimal wrote:And I see Granato is missing from the Wings in game.steviewhy wrote:Renney works for Hockey Canada in some sort of upper management capacity. All other goalie stats are missing. We should probably ask for assistance with this from our users. We just need to have some order of it first. These past days has been very hectic, to say the least. I haven't had time to play the game since it was officially released, lolRomaGoth wrote:
One other thing I noticed is that Jimmy Howard's 2013-14 stats are all missing except for GP (51).
Not enough room for those scouts so Harper, Dickson and Lites got placed on the GriffinsRomaGoth wrote:A couple things regarding the Wings nonplayer roster:
1) Nicklas Lidstrom is not a scout or even employed by the Wings, at least officially
2) Please add Kelly Harper, Mario Marois, Andrew Dickson, Sam Lites, and Len Quesnelle as scouts and remove Joe McDonnell (with Dallas Stars).
Hopefully the maximum amount of scouts will be increased for NHL teams in the near future for NHL:EA, as many teams have nearly two dozen of them.
Ahh, ok. Thanks!Manimal wrote:Not enough room for those scouts so Harper, Dickson and Lites got placed on the GriffinsRomaGoth wrote:A couple things regarding the Wings nonplayer roster:

Not sure I agree with your assessment regarding Babcock. He loves grinding, blue-collar players but overall he prefers good 2-way players above all else. I would say that a direct attacking style of play is fairly accurate.sTeeL86 wrote:Mike Babcocks preferred tactics should not be a direct attacking style of play.
I dont know what the options are but he much prefers a defensive slog/grinder of a match.
Others from a Red Wings Perspective.
I would suggest Teemu Pulkkinens slapshot is underrated. only a 13 in game, its probably more of an 17-18 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQSS8JWixiw, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3P1xhCP3aU)
I think he has evolved, (adapted may be a better word) around a roster that he has multiple times been vocally critical of. His Olympic teams never did much grinding.RomaGoth wrote:Not sure I agree with your assessment regarding Babcock. Good point. But I have also heard from some guys that attribute-development is a lot slower now.jhcjobpb wrote:Before editing Pulkkinen, Manimal. I made his Slapshot 13 for a reason. He has the hardest shots of all Finns right now I think. But in this game slapshot indicates accuracy also/quality of the shot. Adding 16/17 right now for him will result in 20 in a season or two (because he's young and will develop). So in a few years he's as good as Stamkos and Ovechkin at Slapshooting!?
I hope so.Manimal wrote:Good point. But I have also heard from some guys that attribute-development is a lot slower now.jhcjobpb wrote:Before editing Pulkkinen, Manimal. Good points!Pena_FIN wrote:Nathan Horton - I don't know what others think, but I'd like to see him removed from the database. Mark Savard and Chris Pronger aren't in the DB. (I got him to retire with extra_config)
Anthony Duclair - He should be under NHL contract, and on loan in the QMJHL. Especially since this is true, and he's burning a year from his entry-level contract. Same thing with Leon Draisaitl. (I'm assuming entry-level slide isn't in the game, as it wasn't in EHM2007)
Rangers and Redwings are both just slightly over the cap. Buffalo is under the cap. Again, extra_config helped here.
And speaking of extra_config (I love that file), I edited the out-for-season injuries from SURGERY to HOLIDAY. That way they stay out for the whole season, instead of just 6 months.
Those draft pick changes was something we had to do with the EHM:07 for players to have their rights kept by the teams. I have forgotten about it and will check how the new game works. Having the player rights is more important than the cosmetic of seeing a weird draft year.Animal31 wrote:Early Access:
Mattias Tedenby was a 11th round pick in 2014 for the Devils, should be 1st in 2008
Valdimr Zharkov was not a 14th round pick in 2013 for the devils, should be 3rd in 2006
Alex Ubrom was not 33rd round pick in 2014 (What the Dickens?) for the devils, should be 3rd in 2009
Herri Pessonon was not 99th round pick in 2014 for the devils, was not drafted
this might be glitch in game, or known bug
Also Adam Oates is not the head coach for the devils. It can be assumed that Lou Lamoriello is GM/Head Coach
It's because they both don't have CA values set in DB (have 0 = random) - I would suggest ~65 for Porejs and ~80 for Trotter (maybe still generous, because he was out for two and half season because of injury and this season he looked like a shadow of himself of four seasons ago)!SinisterCabbage wrote:Brock Trotter (Dinamo Riga, KHL) is ridiculously bad, looks like something went wrong there, also his history is missing.
Edit: Also Martins Porejs from Dinamo Riga looks suspiciously bad.
I dont think Zharkov's rights are owned by the Devils right nowManimal wrote:Those draft pick changes was something we had to do with the EHM:07 for players to have their rights kept by the teams.
