NO because those are training based most of the time. I have not had any injury complaints. Overuse causes it too much for too many people.

Hits aren't training base. Typical gamers don't complain about not getting injuries lol

I love this game, I love the people that created it.
That being said, right now it is broken.
Shea Theodore rated at 3 stars by the ducks, they turned down 6 first round picks.
Gustav Nyqvist made available by the wings, rated at three stars, same as above.
Also tried multiple offers matching exactly what they claimed to want and those where rejected.
It's awful and makes me want to stop playing.

My scoring rate has dropped since the 15.1 update. I did hit the double figures regularly before the update, but now I have only once scored 9+ goals (friendlies not included) in 5 seasons.

I'm not so sure what about this makes the experience unplayable. Just try to trade for somebody else. Sure.... It's broken in that 6 firsts should easily get it done, but in what world is that going to actually happen? They're probably evaluating purely based on team need, and you are talking about two teams that are not rebuilding.
If you are upset because it creates an unrealistic experience, consider that you are trying to trade for players that would be unrealistic to be dealt.

I did mention that the team made them available, right?
That they considered both values to be 3stars.
Look, the people who made this could not be held in higher esteem than that which I hold them.
But to suggest that the above is not fundamentally broken, is just bogus.
They tried to fix trade ai in the last update and it has made trading next to impossible.
When a team clearly doesnt want a player, yet will not trade them for a MASSIVE overpayment, that's just broken.
I understand the urge to defend the game and the developers, I really do, but this is something that make it unplayable for me as it takes any realism/immersion you get when playing the game completely away.
I have full faith in the developers to remedy things, but let's not act like the above is somehow acceptable.

So a team that wont give up a 3 star interest because it doesn't want to mess up chemistry means trading is broken?
I would agree with you if this was a 1 star player but a player that they rate 3 out of 5? No. Stop trying to rape the AI.

not dealing a 3 star unsigned prospect for six 1st rounders would mess up team chemistry ?? 'broken' is such a harsh word, but let´s face it, AI trading is a mess right now - i really hope they´ll balance that out with a future patch

If thats the case then maybe the wording is wrong. Other than wrong wording I fon't see how that makes the game or trading broken or unplayable.

Because teams have an unrealistic tendency to hold on to their own players in spite of how mindblowingly good the return is.
Unrelated, my only problem with the simulation is that I can't figure out if there's a way to NOT apply for any jobs while vacationing. I'm trying to leap 5 years ahead in the save and ECHL teams keep hiring me. I'm just going to add a new manager once I get to 2020 anyway, but I'm sure having a job is slowing it down.

One of the vacation settings is "Apply to Higher Reputation clubs". Setting that to No should keep you out of ECHL or anywhere.

Also possibly worth mentioning is that if you're vacationing, and you have your coach options set to "Head Coach takes control of bench - Yes" but if you also have "

Use current lines when possible - Yes", the SIM logic does not understand the phrase "when possible" because it will neglect to replace injured players with anybody else, and your lineup will include progressively fewer and fewer dressed players as the season goes by. Learned that one the hard way, by the end of a curiously-last-place season I went back and checked some boxscores and the game was dressing 8 forwards and 3 defensemen lol.
So yeah, fyi those settings are currently broken if you're trying to do long-term SIM

My comments on this game so far.
1. I find the board of directors too strict.
2. The board of directors expect you to make the playoffs even if you're a draft lottery team.
3. The board of directors fire your coach without your permission and you don't see it coming.
4. Even if you make the playoffs, you still get fired.
5. If you make a fair trade to a team and the other team's GM says its fair also, you still get rejected in the trade.
6. For some reason, the board of directors vetos your signing of your prospects because it's "unrealistic".
7. I noticed at the end of each month you get an update from the board regarding their satisfaction and most of the time, they're not happy.
8. I noticed during the off-season that the board of directors get mad at you for no reason. I can understand if your team is on the losing streak during the season but when there's nothing going on cuz it's off-season, why should the board of directors be mad at you?

1. Depends on who you are playing with. Some could care less what you do.
2. Yeah...something being worked on I believe...it has been reported. But...should this not always be the goal? Ultimately the goal is the cup
3. Not on my watch they have not. AGM may do it when on vacation. Have not seen reports of this anywhere else? Has anyone else?
4. Yes you can. God a guy who won Stanley Cup, Pres Trophy, and made a Stanley cup final in the last 5 years just got canned in real life.
5. SOmething being worked on by SI. We ask to tighten up trading, and they do....and then complaints about it being too tight. They will get it.
6. Yep....you have too much in salary on your team for the budget. Happens occasionally. Need to do something to help that out. Over budget by chance?
7. Not in my case...never had an unhappy board, still do not. Of course I have a happy board because well...my team wins. Stanley Cup with Flyers with ZERO roster changes first year save 1 waiver claim, and 14-0 to start year two. Over budget? Not winning enough with your roster? Who said this game was easy?
8. Over the cap? Not making solid moves? Over budget? Not doing what you need to? Never ever had that problem
Honestly, sounds to me like you just need to work on how to manage the team for the most part. Really only two of those things nad possibly a third is an issue in the game in reality from what I have experienced.
There are thouands (ok maybe hundreds) of nuances to this game, and it is not a simple sports game like EA makes to master. Have lots of thinking and planning to do to keep your job and be succesful in the game. I would suggest turning off firings of human GMs in your preferences for now, until you figure out the subtleties of the game.
HAve a read a round.
Sure the game is not perfect and there are lots of little issues with it and its performance. But I can tell that right now ... this is not what your issues with the game are about for the most part. Read around and learn

Interesting. Had not seen #3 reported but maybe just missed it. Something to report to SI if it has not been already. Still....that being said, alot of those issues are on the user. Tis not an easy game, and it is really hard for those first starting out. I know B72 and I have admitted there were things we were still discovering for the 1st time about 2 years into playing the game and more....actual years...multiply by 100 for in game years.

scoring categories. have now done blocks, hits and faceoff percentages too, and all are very inaccurate:
http://s18.photobucket.com/user/bobmcgo ... t=3&page=1. of course this could be the game having a different view on what constitutes a "block" or a "hit" to how it's judged by the NHL, or it could just be as bad as it looks. the biggest problem for me was not so much the numbers, but the names of the players who were high up on the hits and blocks lists (Kane? Tarasenko? Crosby?). but as long as the main stats categories are correct i'm pretty happy, although i think faceoff % is quite important for EHM to get right.
not sure how numbers/severities of injuries could be analysed? i'm open to suggestions, but apart from playing all through the game and recording each injury as it happens (i don't have time for that...) i can't think how to do it.

I did set it to not apply, you misunderstand me; in spite of that setting, I kept getting hired to ECHL clubs. I stopped the sim multiple times to quit my job, make sure I set applying for jobs to off, then restarted the sim.
At one point I just stopped halfway to 2020 and just quit the save because it was simming too slow thanks to the jobs bogging down the sim speed.

Other thing that might be affecting this is your reputation on start-up.
I always have a player-profile that is me in real life. I'm sure that if in real life a 34 year old wannabe-rec-player ENGLISHMAN took over the New York Rangers there would be uproar! In-game I'm up against it from the start and like batdad says you've got to get results early-doors. I'm not big on trading when I play as Rangers and thankfully they've got a strong team on start-up so luckily tend to get through that.
And I've been playing the series for 3 years now and the game is still surprising me in various ways, still tweaking tactics and making things work, keep at it and it's great to see things start to click in-game.
Also I notice with trading (like any managment game) people tend to have certain players or a 'dream team' they want to assemble at all costs and get frustrated when the game won't let them do that. But that's what trading is like in real-life (or transfers in football) and sometimes my most memorable signings have been when my #1 target won't sign and I've had to go looking for someone else to fill that role.
I tried to replicate the trade that brought St.Louis to Rangers in the 6.1 database and Lightning wouldn't let him go for anything, so decided to keep Callahan in the end and he ended up captaining us to the Cup that year! May even re-visit that save on EHM 2007 at one point.
Maybe start with a higher rep for your player-profile, or try a lower league and build-up to the big job in the NHL. I love finding out about new teams and often I'll start following them in real-life as a result of the game.

I had a curious moment, I wanted to sign Nyqvist for my Panthers in the 2015 off-season. I planned on having a first line of Hubeardeau-Barkov-Nyqvist, alas it wasn't to be. The first time I tried to sign him, he went to another team for more money that I offered, fair enough I decided to redo the off-season. I made an offer to Nyqvist, 7 million a year and I thought, perfect. I wait for the item to come up, and he signs with the Devils for 4.45 million a year. The Devils are very similar to us, we both missed the playoffs and are rebuilding. Does anybody have any ideas on what factors could lead to him signing elsewhere?, was it the draft pick compensation? I had the firsts and the thirds to give to the Red Wings, I had the cap room and both teams had a similar record, I even had a lot of Swedes on the roster. I think I am going to take a little break from the game till after the next patch, and wait for some for the trading A.I to be tweaked.

players also have favorite teams, staff and other players. Also might have disliked staff or players. Might also look at your team and feel like you don't have the opening or ice time they want.
