Nah...just leave it. Those of us who picked autodraft option IMHO knew what we could end up with, and just have to work with it. But if others disagree that would be fine too. I mean I got shafted on the blue line just as bad as in net in the autodraft mode..so what am I to do there? No worries from my side.

It seems too much messing about to restart again. I'm in the position of having two questionable goalies but I'm happy to make do as I've got stronger players elsewhere. Batdad is right, it's the risk of running the autodraft. And besides, those that lost out on goalies probably did well in other areas. If they wanted a good G they should have ranked them more highly.

Perhaps it's something to address next season but I think it's not worth dealing with this season. We've just got to make do!

Leave it as it is. We don't need parity. We shouldn't be penalised for good drafting.
I have three solid goalies, two starters and one that might be. It's trade leverage for me. I will deal one of them if the right deal comes along.

My thought was that if it has the potential to be a big handicap for those who have one starter and one backup versus those who have two guys starting every night, I could always "reset" our draft to unlock the roster settings. I could then re-do the slots accordingly(1 starting goalie per team, with up to one on the bench), and maybe even throw in a simple IR slot while I'm at it. Then our "re-do draft" would simply be an 'offline draft' where I submit our rosters using the exact rosters we have now(but dropping everyone's worst goalie if they have more than two right now)... so it'd all end up being the same as it is now, except with a more level playing field for goalies.

Or, if no one thinks it'll be a problem, I can stop thinking and just look forward to the start of the season. :-D
Hmmmm... wouldn't this punish those of us who used early round picks to get better goalies? If I used both my 2nd and 3rd round picks to make sure that I had 2 starters and somebody else used of those picks to draft a high scoring forward, I'd still have both of those goalies but only need one while they'd have the one goalie they need and still have the forward. To me it seems like a matter of drafting strategy.

StarboardWinger you're out of luck. Khabibulin has been put on waivers and will be traded or sent to down to Rockford if no other team claims him.

Down to business, Lidas, I have sent you an offer.

I'm good with what I've got, I did rank a couple of keepers high, but obviously not high enough. I've got noone else to blame but myself. Many of you have been nice to offer me some keepers, and I have two accepted trades with new keepers coming in. Too bad I had to give up Jason Spezza though. If for some reason those trades dont come through, I'll take a look at other options.

Good point with them being stronger in other places.

I'll leave it go how we have it.

(Although, now you've made me not feel bad for people's bad goalies... so I'll be seeking revenge for giving away my Toskala. :-D )

Who drafted Gonchar? I remember them saying at the time it's a risk. News is that he will miss 4-6 months after having surgery on his left shoulder. Whoever drafted Letang or someone like that could profit from that!

Gonchar is already waived. Check the site...

Yeah, I waived him last night when ESPN first broke the news... saying they "heard from a source". That was all I needed to confirm my bust of a pick.

Wasn't the Gonchar pick just a thing where you "spaced out" and forgot not to draft him? I didn't think it was a calculated risk. I did see someone draft him in my other league and they did consider it a calculated risk. I made a mention of his injury and the comment was made that he wouldn't be out more than a month and he'd be worth the pick when he returned. That guy is eating his words now! :-D

I've got Gaustad out for 3-4 weeks due to thumb surgery but I think I'm going to hang on to him unless I really starts to struggle.

Yeah. It was a space-out. I got all excited seeing him still up, and didn't think about anything else. The worst part is I was reading about his injury on Friday during lunch-break, and I was happy because it'll really hurt the Penguins... surely our main rival this year.

Who ever got Letang should be happy though. With Gonchar and Ryan Whitney both out, he's going to have himself a nice opportunity.

I had Letang lined up and someone snagged him fright before. I think it was Aiming for 19th.

StarboardWinger and the Vancouver Canucks have Letang.

I forgot about the draft the other day... Just looking over my team and the one player I wanted I didn't get.... Oh well Gagne.... Maybe next time.....

Oh well....

i took this "calculated risk" by drafting Brendan Morrison in the late rounds.
injury-prone, but nice setup-men when healthy - now that selanne resigned with the ducks he may play on morrisons line.
if he stays healthy it ay turn out well.
also took a "risk" by trading for Brind'Amour.
but well - no risk no fun. :-D

Looks like m0fownz0r and the Thundercliff rage are taking the calculated risk approach with Gonchar... picked him up this morning.

Not sure he'll be very fantasy-like in the 1-2 months he might play in April/May(he'll probably spend most of it just getting back into basic shape), but we'll see. ;)

Kinda. I lack D and Im not really sure how the stats and such work yet, so I thought getting Gonchar can't hurt me :)

OT: Archibalduk, is there any point of trying further?

What part are you not sure of? I could probably help you out (and maybe even throw in one of my dazzling analogies for clarity ;) )... if not, I'm sure someone else could help.

Kay..I have tried deleting cookies, tried refreshing, tried restarting....

Yesterday and today I cannot get access to my later roster dates (where it has the link to Oct 5, Oct 12 etc.) I click, and nothing happens.

same for my pending transactions, and I cannot even change my currentl roster moves on enhanced clubhouse...I have to go to classic clubhouse to get anything done.

Anyone else having this issue? Anyone able to help me out. I feel like a n00b.

I don't know what browser you're using but using the last flash plug-in and checking to use java scripts and active x controls should do. I don't know if you change any security configurations or firewall.

Mine seems to be okay. At first I thought I might have an issue but I guess I just don't have any games on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of October. Had me worried for a moment there.
