I don't really follow Finland's games in the Skoda-Cup that intensively, but I always enjoy watching smaller nations play, such as Latvia, Denmark, Kazakstan, etc. They've all put up good fights against bigger nations this year.

Laine is better now, but who knows how it will be in the future.

It's a shame Latvia couldn't score at least one goal with so many good opportunities. This also might be the confidence booster Russia lacked so far, we'll see.

Great game from us today. Slovakia very disappointing.
That the results is so clearly , I did not expect . The work of Sturm pays more and more .

A big surprise.. I know Slovakia has been going down these years but 5-1.
Germany has been disappointing since Uwe Krupp left..

Yep, looks like another year of fighting to stay in the Elite division. Seems to happen too often, we start off well and then fall off..

Now Switzerland led again 4-3 but Latvia came back immediatly to make it 4-4!

I also hoped for a surprise.. doesn't look good now as they're leading 5-2.
And Russia's crushing Denmark.. 9-1 already.

Deserved win for Latvia, was so satisfying to see them put the pressure on Kazakhstan and pull away with the victory!
