Interesting choice of example players.....the TBL Rosters are "start of season" rosters, and Matthews/Marner had 0 NHL GP combined (and Nylander had 22 GP) & all are players who've now just had one season (most definitely not established players)
Not saying they're not going to get a bump for next year's rosters, but they don't at all fit the definition of very established players lacking in scoring from 2016-17

This my feedback for the new beta /17/18 roster. Some players I find to be inaccurate in their ratings so far.
Overrated players:
Kyle Okposo (BUF) ranked #9 RW in NHL
CA 162, PA 164
In real life, the guy was 65Gm 19G 26A 45P -7 (#28 among RW in scoring)
Mark Stone (OTT) ranked #10 RW in NHL
CA 158, PA 166, Pokecheck 20, Slap 14, Stickhandle 16, Wrist 15
IRL the guy was 71 22 32 54 +12 (#16 among RW in scoring)
Alex Steen (STL) ranked #8 LW in NHL
CA 164, PA 164, wrist 17, positioning 17
IRL the guy was 76 16 35 51 -2 (#24 among RW in scoring)
Max Domi (ARI) ranked #9 LW in NHL (Parise #10)
CA 152, PA -9, Stickhandle 16, Pass 16, Speed 18
IRL the guy was 59 9 29 38 -9 (#40 among RW in scoring)
By comparison, Conor Sheary is pretty underrated. He was even put on waiver by PIT in game.
Conor Sheary (PIT)
CA 128, PA 138
IRL the guy was 61 23 30 53 +24 (#18 among RW, 10 less games than Mark Stone but only 1 point behind)

Sorry, but you're playing with 16/17 NHL Rosters. My 17/18 work hasn't been implemented to these rosters yet.
PS: Mark Stone has had two seasons most takeaways in NHL now if I remember correctly.

My bad. In that case, consider my post a heads up on who needs a little tweak then.

Where are those # ranks from? Was that the NHL rank from in-game?
Anyway any feedback is basically better than no feedback.

Yes the # after player name is from in game. The real life # is from official NHL stats.
Thanks for your hard work.
Also, Tomas Jurco overrated too. Especially his shots.

There was a typo giving him a PA of 13, instead of 130

Nope : (Piracy link removed - admin) . I've downloaded TBL Roster v9.7 2 months ago and worked like a charm

Well this is horrible news...I sure hope the number of people who do this is tiny and doesn't affect future/ongoing development

Reported on Reddit by

I think Gusev's NHL rights are owned by the Knights, but it doesn't show up like that in the database

Game issue. They are in the database.
Earlier years we changed the draft date of the players to work around this but I thought that wasn't necessary any longer

Again, is there a link to download out of Steam? I own the game on Steam but occasionally play it on a school computer that has Steam blocked. I'm currently away for the holidays and only have that computer available to use. Obviously I can just wait a few days until I get back home, but I'd love to get a chance to look at the player ratings before I start a new save.

No, there is no link to download out of Steam. We were going to make a non-Steam version available but it'll just make life easier for those using the pirated version.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the only way to install the game is by using Steam. If you have EHM installed then you have access to Steam and therefore the Steam Workshop and the rosters.

That is true, but, as I said, I don't have access to Steam on my computer at the moment. I could use Teamviewer on my phone (that's also blocked on my laptop) to remotely download and email the database files to myself. I was just hoping for a download link to make my life easier, but oh well, I'll just do that. You make a good point about the piracy though. I would never have pirated the game if I hadn't already bought it.

Just because it has been further reiterated on Reddit: Nikita Tryamkin is missing his player rights.

I don't know if this belongs in NHL or AHL, but I'll put it here: Andreas Johnson's (Leafs prospect on the Marlies who is signed by the leafs) name is spelled wrong. His last name is spelled Johnsson.

Here in Sweden it was always spelled Johnson.

So Makar was a fifth overall pick, a great young player, and a phenomenal skater. Why was he rated so incredibly low by the new roster update?

I'm pretty sure no one has rated him. I don't think we had any researcher for NCAA (I might be wrong though)
PS. He was 4th overall.

Even though I'm here since a long time I'm still learning how you guys are doing your work!
I knew you had guys researching leagues and all but I thought someone was on the draft to at least rate the players that got picked. I guess it would be too complicated since all the guys are in various leagues/country?

Yes, this year we didn't have many researchers. For example I did only NHL (well a few AHL players also, as some players jump between those two leagues.)
Last year I did the high draft picks. This year no one has touched them unless they were in the league a researcher did.
