Already done that.

Thanks anyway. Somehow I don't think his name sounds so "super" though, not like Gretzky or Lemieux.

Would someone want to "pre-test" this version? I'd like someone to simulate a few years and look how the drafts go, and how the prospect are developing in the future? Would save me a lot of time...
More add-ons... this time NHL faceoff logos.

I've now created logos for all the biggest hockey nations.
Sample:

Download link will be added later when I put all the logos in one pack. (I also made 3D logos for all the AHL teams.)

Is it possible to use Custom Start Date Patch with this database?
(I guess I would have to adjust birhtdates before using it?)
BTW I really like those new nation bars!

Thanks!

You don't have to use the CSD Patch. In this database you start in the 06/07 season. (As the original game did).

QUESTION: As I'm editing UUDB I spotted this. The Nashville Team colour is wrong. I tried putting all colours into red, and ingame it became red on all three colours, I switch back the colours I want the team to have it turns out blue/grey again!? Anyone know, why or what's causing this? Just tried a game against them, and their "Away" colour is correct. It's just their "Home" colour that's wrong.

I have suspected at times that things have been reverted back when I'm editing, too. Not sure what could cause it, but I know it is important to always run the editor as administrator. I learned that the hard way

I've tried to run as admin but nothing has changed... Thanks for the tip, I'll run as admin in the future.

This error is really weird, and I can't figure it out myself that's why I hoped someone with more experience might know better.

Try moving the folder containing your database to your desktop. Then make your changes using the editor and then move it back to your EHM database folder. If you forget to use the Run as Admin option it can make things really confusing because it results in the Editor using a shadow copy in your Roaming folder (so you end up with two different copies of your DB). If you move the DB to your desktop then you should avoid any possibility of it loading the shadow copy.
You can delete any shadow copies by going to C:\Users\<<your user name>>\AppData\Roaming\Sports Interactive\EHM 2007\data\ and delete the database folder (if there is one). You may prefer to backup the shadow copies rather than deleting them in case you find that the shadow copy contains all of your changes and your other copy doesn't.

I didn't have a shadow copy in the Roaming file. Well now I desided to really test the colours of Nashville.
TEST 1: I try 2 other colours, keeping the Yellow which should be there.
TEST 2: I change the Green background to Blue, and now I have two correct colours (Yellow and Blue)
TEST 3: So one more to go, I change the remaining Red to Silver Flat (the colour I want), and this happens again!
TEST 4: Well if it dislikes Silver Flat that much I change it to Grey, and still the same sh*t...
So now I give up... And look in the UUDB database folder and I find a file called "new_NHL_colours". In that file there's code like this:
#Nashville
"TEAM_COLOUR_CHANGE" "Nashville Predators" "NHL_COOL_GRAY" "TRIM" "HOME"
Maybe that has something to do with it? In the beginning of the file there a text like this "Copy and paste the contents of this file to the extra_config.cfg to use the new colours of NHL teams. Remove them to use the default colours"
So I go to "extra_config.cfg" but there's no colour change of any team there? So now I'm really confused... in my eyes it looks like the colour change is somehow working on the Nashville colour I wanna change but I dunno how?!? Really frustrating.

UPDATE
2011
Rielly Morgan
He should be 2012 not 2011.

How strange...
Maybe you could use extra_config to make your colour changes? Perhaps something like the below might do it?
"TEAM_COLOUR_CHANGE" "Nashville Predators" "YELLOW_2" "TRIM" "HOME"

Well the "years" I mentioned aren't that important. I still make their birthdays, so that will determine when they're gonna be drafted.

I'm gonna test that tomorrow.

I think I spotted an error on Phoenix Coyotes colour aswell (not a big one though).

The 6.0 version was done on the weekend and with a lot of add-ons.

Archibalduk now has it, so we'll have to wait for him to post it (as I can't create a new topic in "Roster Update" section).
But while we wait, you can download the database here:

Predators have incorrect color bar - like in your screen. How to change it? Extra_config doesn't work...
I'm Tampa fan so I quickly checked their players attributes. Dan Boyle should have better passing, creativity and anticipation - 17 would be good. Also Martin St. Louis should have more in this zones - his one of the best passers with great vision in NHL. His balance and stamina could be higher too - especially balance

. I don't like strength of those two - St. Louis 14, Boyle 10 - funny

. I like what you have done with Lecavalier and Richards.
Looking forward for this and big thanks!

Yeah I know Predators has wrong colour. Read a few post above were Archi suggested what to put in extra_config. I was able to change it to yellow the trim, but it looked very ugly.

So I desided to just release this version as it was right now. And I haven't changed all attributes of all the NHL players... just a few hundred. I wouldn't have left Boyles strenght at 10.

But now as I know it I'll change it for the next version release.

There are probably a lot more players that should be edited, that's why it's good to first release this first version and let "you" test this DB. Youngsters I have no idea how they will develope in the future, so they might be an issue in this DB also.

I forgot about Purcell and Peverley - they really sucks

. I don't see any changes on Hiller.
I'll edit this post and give you feedback when I find something wrong.

Teddy played his first full season in 2010 so he wasn't that good in 2006. Peverly made his breakthrough 2008, so they can't be that good in 2006. They will develope into fine NHL players.

I changed the CA/PA of Hiller, I think I didn't need to change his attributes...

After 10 games I can tell that UUDB 6.0 is easier then 5.5. I'm using same squad in Tampa, same tranning and tactics. I'm 7-2-1, 20,5% PP, 85,3% PK.
Prospal - Lecavalier - St. Louis
Malone - Richards - Fedotenko
Pyatt - Pahlsson - Malhotra
Hagman - Moore - Mayers
Brewer - Boyle
Carle - Sarich
Seidenberg - Commodore
Holmqvist - C. Anderson
Top 50 scorers looks fine for me except: Milan Michalek no. 2 (plays with Marleau and Thornton in line), Chris Clarke no. 7 (with Zubrus and Ovechkin) and Peltonen no. 17 (with Jokinen and Bertuzzi).
Sean Burke is in Kings, salary is 44mln - in UUDB 5.5 Burke is in Tampa and salary is 46 or 48. Maybe you should stick with UUDB 5.5 and change only CA/PA and add new draft picks? I don't know - I like what you have done but sometimes less work is better then hard

. Still I give it full season for try because stats are better in 6.0 then 5.5...

Andrew Shaw may have gone first overall in 09...
but it did go Stamkos -> Doughty in their draft year, so whatever that means
