Yeah absolutely. For us long-time EHM fans, does it really matter whether the game is released now or later? Probably not. We'll just keep on trying out the latest builds, giving feedback and watch it progress. I was fairly downbeat about the rough edges of the game but now I'm more accepting because whatever happens it'll get there in the end. I'm in no rush! It's just nice to be able to vent on TBL rather than dare post anything on OOTP and get shot to pieces.
With regards to the general views expressed on the OOTP forums, it's not necessarily indicative of everybody who has purchased the game. Just like EHM, not everybody who buys the game signs up the forums.

I
played FHM for a couple hours today and then moved back to EHM for about 15 minutes and going back to FHM I have a real hard time reading the small font. Everything is quite hard on your eyes in the game. And it's not just the small font but things tend to blend in a lot as well. Hopefully we'll see huge improvement on that front in the second version as well.
FYI - I started having a bit of fun in FHM modern day play and was almost done my third year before it crashed and gave up. The problem though is that you can't resign any of your players...how that bug got past them is beyond me. You have to be in commish mode and just force a contract. I like to cheat anyways
Difference is even night and day for the UI in ootp and FHM. It's like they are made by two separate teams but the negatives from ootp have carried over to fhm. Too bad.

One thing I can say for sure is that when I heard last year that we'd definitely be getting a new hockey management sim, and that it's coming from the titans at OOTP, I never would have imagined that the eve of release would be this quiet and lacking in celebration

Yeah I am disappointed in how quiet things are right now across the forums.
When I first heard about this game I thought for sure it would meet my expectations as I had only heard great things about the OOTP franchise.
Factor in almost a year of a public bet (that most companies/games would kill for) and I don't see how I game that most cant play for more than a year ( i can't get past the first month) will be any good tomorrow.

So true. I know I probably won't be spending much time with the game this week as things are very busy for me. Perhaps I'll get in a couple hours in the coming weekend.
I'm certainly finding myself with less time for games these days. My only free time is on the weekends and I like getting a few drinks in me at that time and get rejected by girls at a bar. I've made a few hours for this game already on the past few weekends and will most likely do it again but I find the interface very offputing. Then again, I thought the same thing about EHM interface when I first started playing it a number a years back.
The interest in this game at the moment is discouraging, hopefully it picks up soon. The problem too is that the two games feel entirely different. I was actually expecting almost an identical interface as ootp, but I was dead wrong on that front. It feels like a different developer has made this game...for better and for worse.
The best I'm hoping for tomorrow is the major crashes and UFA/RFA contracts issues all worked out. I'd be happy with that at this point. I certainly forsee a game breaking bug come tomorrow but I'm sure they'll get it patched quickly.
