So Varlamov is sued again by his ex girlfriend. She says he tried to kill her while been drunk in 2012. LOL

Yeah not really all that funny though philou. He was charged with it, but not enough evidence for criminal court....so maybe she gets some resolution in civil.

It was not proven he did not do it, nor was it proven he did. Just not enough evidence.

I just find it hilarious that if he tried to "kill her" she did not say something until now. Money grab.

SHe didn't? Really? So you do not recall the charges against Mr Varlamov last year?

wow

I would think she would be entitled to pursue this aspect of her claims. It does not mean she is lying because court case was dismissed and Varlamov was not found guilty. OJ Simpson was guilty as hell, and he got away with it...until the civil courts got to him at least a bit.

Quite frankly, I think filing this claim by the young lady is smart. DOes it mean she is telling the truth? No...but to say she is lying and full of rubbish is not really the correct thing to do either.

Take off the Avalanche glasses and realize that this is all part and parcel of things. Varlamov is an idiot for putting himself in this situation...be the allegations true or not... if not true...he was dating a nut job for WAY WAY TOO LONG...and if true...well...

She did not say something about "killing her" until now. I remember last year don't worry, I was the first to post about it here but there was no mention of killing her. Avalanche glasses LOL I thought I had Habs glasses by your standard!
At first about Varlamov I was thinking....we'll wait and see more, sometimes medias and social network puts everything bigger than it is but then I've read more earlier and it seems that his girlfriend spent times at the hospital to recover from serious bruises. It seems he kicked her and thrown her to the ground and she even lost counsciousness. He even said something like "If we were in Russia I'll beat you more." That's kinda serious......it's supposed to be the fifth time he beat her. Even though it seems to be serious I'll wait for real proofs or something else because today it's easy to try to look like the victim by doing a tons of stupid things.
And that was my post. The fact that last year there was no mention of killer her doesn't add up to me now. It would've been easy to say that last year but she didn't. Not saying all of this did not happen but yeah....that part today is weird IMO. She's maybe trying to add more weight to her claim so it gets further away.

We don't know she did not say the kill her part last year. Police investigation then so did not have public knowledge.

It's different with civil. She has to file a claim which becomes public.
Besides if he beat her as bad as was alleged at time ...it's not unreasonable to claim that.

Again not saying He did it just saying that the kill claim is something she may have claimed at the time as well. Or the extent of her injuries and people around her have told her that yeah that was a possibility at the time

Maybe we'll know more in the futur. If she indeed past time at the hospital at some point like I said last year, she could have some proof that her life was in danger or not.

Still you did a good job man!

John Scott got suspended a nice 2 games because he started a fight immediately after leaving the bench yesterday. I still wonder how that dude can have a job in the NHL.

John Moore's pretty bad hit on Erik Haula. Game Misconduct.

Not a Game Misconduct. He got a Match Penalty. Comes with an automatic suspension. Plus he's a repeat offender.
Gonna sit for a while, I reckon. Five or six games, perhaps?

Now the Rangers have to play Kostka, who has played one game this season and he was very bad in it.
Or they could send Hayes to the AHL and bring up some untested guy, but I doubt it

Moore is probably getting 5-6 games, might get up to 10 though if the NHL want to make an example out of him. Hopefully Rangers bring up Allen or McIlrath instead of playing with Kostka, or we might be in trouble these games.

I think you can forget that LOL But yeah, very stupid move. And like with Price last playoffs, Kreider injured someone because he can't control his speed again. He really needs to learn to brake. I heard Brolin came back later in the game but I wouldn't be surprise if he got a minor concussion.

In person hearing for Moore so might get to be that example anyways, we'll see in a few days. Agreed about Kreider, he needs to learn how to control his own power. With saying that Brodin could have avoided that if he played that out like a normal defender, he started leaning into Kreider and breaking so early making them have contact at a really awkward distance from the boards. Still it was clearly avoidable from Kreider aswell.

So Game Misconduct he just gets in the shower without any other penalty/fine?

Yes, no automatic suspensions. A game misconduct usually comes with a five-minute major or a ten-minute misconduct
However, if you accumulate a certain number of a certain kind of Game Misconducts, then that carries a suspension

Wasn't he suffering from Alzheimer's too? The poor old guy probably doesn't have much left in the tank.
