Max Reinhart and 2020 1st Rnd Pick to PHX for Connor McDavid.
It happened. And I submitted it at the deadline just because I could........and it worked

Right now I feel like it is too easy to move up into the 1st round, and too hard to move up anywhere else. I traded the 30th pick, plus a 2016 1st for the 24th, a 2016 1st, and the 24th picks in Rounds 4 and 5 (so I moved up 6 slots, and got 2 mid-round picks in exchange for a roll of the dice in 2016; if I finish ahead of the other team, I end up moving up in the 1st in 2016 as well).
On the flip side, I had decided to try and accumulate as many picks as I could in the stacked 2015 Draft, so I traded away about 1/3rd of my lineup at the deadline for picks, then traded away about another 1/4 of the roster and the prospects I didn't feel fit my future plans (and trading down in the 1st to pick up extra draft picks). I ended up with three 1st round picks, four 3rd round picks, eight 4th round picks, three 5th round picks, and two 6th round picks. My plan was to package 5ths/6ths to try and get another 4th; then package 4ths to get as many 3rds as I could; then 3rds for 2nds. However, I couldn't get any teams to take any amount of 4th round picks for their 3rd. Even the Lightning, picking 30th in Round 3, would not take all 8 4th round picks (including the first pick in round 4)! That's right, TB wouldn't accept 7 4th round picks to drop from 90th overall to 91st overall. I found that I had the same problem trying to move from the 3rd to 2nd (or even just higher up in the 3rd).
Also, unrelated, the AI will too often trade for a player then immediately waive him. I picked up Kostka on waivers early in the season, traded him at the deadline, and could have immediately picked him back up off waivers the day after he was traded away.
