Thanks! I've never been one of those guys that can remember those kinds of things like some people... I'll tend to remember what happened and usually why/how but draw a blank on the who's and when's

I know it's not hockey but Donovan McNabb throwing four touchdown passes on a broken leg in the NFC Final (I think) four seasons ago ranks among the most ridiculously manly performances in sports history.

But back then it was almost enough to be physically fit to have success in sports. In the old days in Sweden it happened that the same gu could play in the national tema in both soccer and hockey. There´s a swedish legend, Sven Berqvist, active during the 30´s and 40´s. He was a goalie at national level in soccer, he played as a defenceman in the national hockey team and he also played as a goalie in bandy playing in the swedish top division. That´s impossible today because elite players are professionals.

Bandy is a kind of a field hockey on ice and is a quite big sport in Sweden, Finland and Russia.

Oh yeah, conditioning and training etc these days has made such occurances impossible... back in the day they used to talk about ending their season and throwing their skates in the trunk of their car and not pulling them out until the next season at which point they would literally have to work the rust off ;)
