I must say it is a delight to see such a good momentum for BHs attack (and first line, Saad already has two)
Wow, Letang -7 in two games... :-?

I'm back to NHL. Last season I was left with just Youtube highlights, but this season I can watch as many Caps (or any other team's) games as I want!

Just watched last night's Washington - Ottawa game. Midway through I was about to say Ovechkin is having a slow start, but then he scored a hat trick in less than 7 minutes and I changed my mind. :-D

5-4 shootout win for the Caps.

For real though, I saw it was 8-1 last night at the end of WIngs-Wild and thought it was already final and mentioned the curbstomping to my wife. Woke up this morning to find two more CHI goals.

Wings kids all played pretty well. Frk, Mantha, and Larkin all scored. Defense was still a mess. We'll have to see outside of the emotional home opener with a new arena.

:40-some into the season opener has to be an NHL record for the quickest Too Many Men penalty, right?

No Viaplay / Viasat owns NHL rights in Finland (and in Sweden, I think). So the only legal way to watch NHL here is with that service / TV channel. I share the subscription with two other guys to save money. :-)

One guy takes the subscription, then shares the log in info with the others, who pay heir share of the monthly fee. We live in the same building, but separate apartments.

A new NHL season! 8-)

Tonight I've been enjoying the NHL channel on YouTube and their 8-9 minute "condensed games" https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... SV256FqlOO

Last year I was watching a lot of the slightly briefer "game recaps" https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... qGOGYJRjQV

Vegas won despite not having Theodore and Shypachiov in the line-up. McPhee already traded away Pickard probably because he claimed Subban.

I don't know what this guy is doing but it's not looking that good IMO. :D

Dallas went full Lidstrom on the first two period (didn't watch the 3rd)...

Stupid penalty award to Roussel, a man loved only by the french die-hard hockey community who think he's great..

Watching the game right now. Ovy scored 20 seconds in to the game and another on the first powerplay. 8-)

Blackhawks are doing good with another nice win.
I'm liking Toews + Saad + Panik line very much :)

I didn't think Montreal's first goal yesterday was goaltender interference (the player wasn't in the crease), while I thought Minnesota's tying goal against Carolina on Saturday night was goaltender interference (the player was right in the middle of the crease).....the NHL didn't agree with me in either case! HaHa

You mean MTL's second ? The first was Shaw kicking the puck in from the side of Lundqvist's pad if I remember correctly.

I was surprised it was an interference on the goal you talk about, but in the intermission, F.Gagnon of RDS said he called Toronto and asked for details. It seems he wasn't the only "analyst" to give them a phone call and the answer to his questions were :
Montreal's player could have avoided contact with Lundqvist.

To me it looked more like NYR d-man pushed Pacioretty on Lundqvist but eh, refs always have the last word !

Nice win by Colorado! I hope Varly stays healthy this year and that Rantanen keeps improving. Same problem as the last couple of years though is that they always get outshot.

I watched the replay, it looked like the defenseman pushed him into and pushed him back a little (which is fine) but then he continued and nudged him on the head (at least that is what it looked like to me from the overhead replay)

It's already looking bad in MTL. This team can't score at all.

Crawford really stood out too, but most of his saves weren't "dangerous" shots..

I really like how Chicago's playing at the moment :)

I'll take that 6-3 win over Boston with 37 shots. Yakupov and Duchene both have 2 pts. I wonder if Duchene is playing better to get traded or he's actually having fun.
