Not sure if Bobble still visits sometimes, but I think it's worth taking a chance. Great project, I wish I would have seen it earlier...

Heh I totally missed this thread when it was first around - probably because I was without internet access for most of Sept-Dec 2007. Sounds like an interesting idea.

Bobble hasn't visited us since but perhaps if you send him a PM, he might revisit this thread

OOTP, made by SI have a face generator..

It could work in a limited fashion.

Baseball of course doesnt have full length sleeves, but a feature of OOTP is to zoom in or out. So you can zoom in and avoid the bare arms.

You can add the background to be hockey related, thats easy.

Drawbacks are, players woudl look small due to no sholder pads. Or course they have baseball hats on. However I am thinking that there might be a way to lose the hats, whether it is a transprent colour. Many graphic gens have a specific colour that wont show.. So I make a hat that colour. However I am not sure the top of the head will show underneath...


Basically Ill tinkler with this when I get soem time...

I have a method for making faces:

You have to get FaceGen by singular inversions, generate a face you like, take a screenshot, then use an imaging software to add the hair from the football manager 2008 facegen implementation.

then you can add jerseys, bg's, etc... (im too lazy to do that)

it's not perfect, but it works for me!

Can you add some other, more famous players as examples? I don't have a clue of how these players have to look like...

Presumably you have to own a copy of FM 2008 or 2009 as well.

Anyone have any idea how Bobble was getting the jerseys and helmets onto his players? This facegen thing has interested me since I first saw it a couple years ago.... I'd love to figure out a way to make it work.

ah okay, lol. I thought those guys are real players that I never heard of...

Is this in the pipelines by anyone? I play Football Manager and this is a great implementation for regen players, Since EHM is basically Football Manager but with a different sport does anyone know if it's possible just copy the same method that Football Manager uses to implement it?
