Wow! This draft is messed up. Oscar Moller falls all the way to #52, where LA finally takes him. Holy moly.

Thx for the exellent review CatchUp, but it would have been cool if avs had selected Lars Eller at 14 if st. louis hadnt stolen him at 13 that is. Would probably mean quite a few new avs fans in the coming years, just like I am afraid Jannik Hansen is gonna do for the Canucks.

I know many Bruins fans were talking about taking Mayorov with a first or second round pick, so yeah, that's a big drop for him!

Has anyone seen this German kid the Bruins drafted in the 4th round? He looks insane!

Denis Reul

As someone on HFboards said, "just dress him and sit him on the end of the bench and let him eat a bucket of fish heads or something, to haunt the oppositions dreams."

Bah. He won't scare anyone with the German hockey player's mandatory VISOR. Looks like this guy wears a full shield. Such a pretty boy. Should have been drafted by Montreal. :-p

Photo taken from above to make him look over 2 feet tall??

:-D

Actually, I was reading an article that says he's expected to be taken in the CHL Import Draft and will play next season with whichever team drafts him. So he won't HAVE to wear the visor. Somebody on another board commented on his lack of eyebrows adding to his scary look but we found out that the reason for that is that he has alopecia. The kid is still pretty mean and intimidating looking though. He's got good size, 6'4" 214 lbs (and should still add bulk). They say his hits like a maniac!

Bill Simmons wrote:More importantly, what the hell happened to the NHL? As if things weren't already bad enough, the league's No. 1 overall pick is an undersized American who looks like the third singer in a boy band? Can we start sending them FEMA money or something?
lol
I hope he was satisfied with the Bruins' Teutonic Frankenstein pick :D

Bill Simmons is an A$$*&)#
He picks center Kyle Turris, who's so young-looking that I kept expecting the Great One to hand him an ice cream cone and an autographed box of hockey cards. Will we see one pick with chest hair in this draft? I wish I could bet Janet Gretzky on this.
I mean come on...moron...this was done the DAY BEFORE THE DRAFT! Yzerman did it at the draft. Jesus wake up Simmons...Pay attention.
4:39: During the Gretzky-Turris interview, Announcer No. 1 asks Gretzky, "Are you comfortable having a guy on your team who still goes to school with a Batdad lunch bag?" Then he pulls out Turris' Batdad lunch bag. See, I told you these kids looked young! You didn't believe me.
And what the hell is wrong with Turris having my own personalized lunch box? Huh...of course he does...Don't you Billy boy? All the cool kids do. (If you don't get this one..read the whole quote and then look to the left side of the screen next to this box and read from the top down...You will get it, I assure you..well maybe not CatchUp...cause it has nothing to do with M*****)

So much more gold..so little time

i get the feeling that this guy does not like hockey, i dont no what gives me that idea, the main point that i think he is making is that young people look young, not too sure thats a good argument Mr. I Work For Espn (i didnt know his name), if hes not complaining, hes complainin at players names,

"He uses the No. 2 pick on American LW James vanRiemsdyk, whose last name sounds like a Dutch porn movie." What movies has he been watching?!?! :-?

"8. Process ("PROH-cess")
7. Against (a-GAY-anst")
6. Go ("goo")
5. Organization ("or-gan--EYE-zah-SHUN")
4. Handicap ("han-dee-cupp")
3. About ("ah-boot")
2. Franchise ("frayn-ch-EYE-zzze")
1. Kudos ("coooooooo-dooooooooooze")"

not sure i get this tho, i think hes just tryin to make hiss article look longer, :-D

i think this guy is a bit of a pessimist due to his article and his book, i found it funny when i saw what it was called,

"Bill Simmons is a columnist for Page 2 and ESPN The Magazine. His book "Now I Can Die In Peace" is available in paperback.
i dont think ill buy it, lol

i cud sit and waffle all day about this gimp, but im sure i wud just bore you.

I won't buy is book either, but found some funny stuff in his parody of an article. A bit excessive sometimes, easy to contradict everytime, but still funny at first sight.

Read it fast, have a good laugh, and leave it where it has to be: the land of the forgotten things.
