If you were alright making the new packs when players changed teams then that's a big thank you on that one. Although to be honest. I'm not really fussed about having the new logos and jerseys, i mean, most of the cards at the moment don't have Gaborik in a Ducks jersey or any other player i have. So to me, doesn't make to much of a difference. Just thought I would raise the problem as others may be affected by it.

Also, i think i prefer the black and white pictures. But it's a toughie 8-)

Thanx. I think so too. But I had done the one on the left before I read youre reply.
getzlaf15 wrote:Thanks, go ahead and request them. I feel that because others contribute with things. I need my way of contributing too.

Back on topic: I'm not sure if the team logos are a good idea. I think they look good and it's a good way to take up that white space, but after a season, most players move to different teams.
Regarding the team logo's: Its quite a few mind. Thats why I feel bad.

Anywho back to the topic at hand: True. I had already thought of a way round this dilema, although it means alot of work. I was going to release updates for the packs I would of done, with the players' new team logo's and a new action pic if I could find one. If that sentence made sense to anyone. I think its does.

Thanks for your positive coments getzlaf and selne. I really appreciate it. You never know how people are going to take the things you do when its different from the norm i.e. The TBL style cards.
Love the one on the left...
So come on Andy, when is that ECHL pack you mentioned coming :P

I'm kidding of course, I am not the kind to rush anyone, just anxious for them :)

True. I suppose. Thanks. I'm also a little un decided about the coulor scheme. I think I might make a few and see how they turn out. I think thats the best route to go down.

Thanks. On the subject of the ECHL pack. I am in the process of doing it. There are just a few obsticles in the way at the moment, one of which being the lack of high quality action pictures for some of the teams. This and other comitments I have i.e. Lidas's DB and my other card packs (which will hopefully be ready for Lidas's new DB). So it should hopefully be ready in the new year.

The ECHL pack will be coming out, along with an IHL and EPHL pack. Hope this helps the anxiety.

Ok. So below are the four style of cards (Dual Left, Dual Right, Single Left and Single Right) That I propose to start to make. Each one is desplayed as having a neutral black and white background and a background comprising of the team colours.

*NOTE: The images on the left are the nuertal Black and White backgrounds whilst the images on the right have the the team colours backgrounds.

Dual Left
Image Image

This card comprises of an actionshot (centre of card), a small profile picture (lower left hand corner), the team logo (upper left hand corner) and the name of the player with a flag of the players nationality (upper right hand corner). This style of card would mainly be used.

Dual Right
Image Image

This card is the same as the Dual Left card, but everything is on the oppasite side. An actionshot of the player still takes the centre of the card. This card will be used as an alernative to the Dual Left Card.

Single Left
Image Image

This card comprises of a profile pic of the player (could also be an actionshot) in the centre of the card, with the team logo in the upper left hand corner and the players name with the flag of thier nationality in the upper right hand corner. This card style will mainly be used to display staff members (such as the example) or player profile pics if an actionshot is not found.

Single Right
Image Image

This card is the same as Single Left. But the elements of the card are on the oppasite side, although the player profile pic is still in the centre of the card. This card will be used as and alternative to the Single Left card.

Although these cards are designed to display all of the elements. If someone so wished they could easily remove certain elements, such as the team logo from the left hand corner on the Dual or Single Left cards.

I know there was probably no need to explain the cards in words as I had sample images. But I felt it was best to explain how I intend to use each card design

Thanks
Andyjayp

Approved!

File is missing extension, add it yourself: .zip or .rar to the filename before extraction.

We'll see if I can remember to change that in the database and make this post obsolete sometime later.

Both approved.

For some reason our frontpage is not showing latest files, instead there's a bunch of ancient files from 1929.

Hopefully we can get this fixed soon. It's so much easier to find files from there, me thinks... :-k

Yeah, it is.

But now we can enjoy the work that Minstrel did back in "the good old days"! :-D
