Nope, you're fine. If we use ESPN, we can go all the way up to 20 teams. You're only #11 by my count.

Since it looks like there's an overall interest, and settings can be changed at any point, I went ahead and created a private ESPN standard league. So, anyone and everyone is encouraged to join-in.

The league is as follows:

BASIC
Commissioner: Brian Stinson... that would be me.
League Name: Minstrel Memorial Cup ...Had to give some honour to the man who ran it all back in the day. ;)

ROSTERS

Seconds Per Pick: 90
Allow Draft Pick Trading: No (Locked at 'No')
Draft Order: Randomized one hour prior to draft time

And remember, I can edit any of these settings at any time. So feel free to offer any suggestions; especially those of you who play fantasy sports often, and know what generally works vs. what doesn't.

P.S. For those who decide to join this league, I'll need your e-mail addresses to send invites to. And no, I won't be using them to send spam or sell to any company... trust me, I'm too lazy to even bother trying. ;)

Stinson,

Good work man :).

bobmcgoorules@hotmail.com - hit me.

Personally I would have voted for the "Points" custom scoring system, but there'd probably be a load of hassle about whether a win should be worth more than a shutout or whatnot. Not complaining though.

One question - "Goaltenders: 2 (Max: 4)". What's the max for? You're only allowed 0/1/2 goalies on your bench?

Thanks bobmcgoo, just sent the invite. *If you don't receive it, let me know. I told it to send me a copy of the invite so if you don't get it I can forward it myself.*

On the points scoring: I was very tempted to use it as well, since it was fun in fantasy football... but I then I had the same thought on what everything "should" be worth. I'm no expert, so I decided not to get in too deep. ;)

And the Goalies: That came standard, and means you can have up to four goalkeepers on your overall roster. Which means two starters, and up to two on the bench. To be honest, I'm not quite sure why only goalies are limited, but it can be changed/removed if need be.

Current Managers in the Minstrel Memorial Cup:

Team - Aiming For 11th (subject to change depending on how many teams we get + 1).

No idea on the limit for goalies...

Who's 12th team if you've only got 11 interested? Are you waiting for more or can you set it as AI-controlled?

Bring on September 27th :D.

The 12 is just an arbitrary even number for now. I'll adjust it up or down depending on how many teams we end up getting. And once the draft is here, I'll set it to create a full league - allowing the draft to proceed(the league has to be "full" one hour before draft time).

Invite sent to getzlaf.

1. B. Stinson - 506th Hockey Regiment
2. bobmcgoo - Team Aiming for 11th
3. getzlaf15 - Getzlaf's Greatz

Sweet deal! Invites sent to all of the above, and awaiting acceptance.

(Sorry Archi if you got a second invite. It sends them "to anyone who hasn't joined". Hopefully it doesn't see your 'invited' status as "not joined" and sends you another  )

1. B. Stinson
2. bobmcgoo
3. getzlaf15
4. sjsharkz
5. LoXish
6. Archibalduk ?
7. bruins72 ?
8. joehelmer ?
9. Calv ?
10. Andyjayp ?
11. Manimal ?
12. mtsouth ?

Very easily filled the 12 teams. But don't worry, we can still expand with 8 more teams.

Great work, Mr Stinson

The Kent Mighty Turnips are here and raring to go!

I love the name of the league - very apt 8-) =D>

I've never seen a Mighty Turnip before. Do you have a picture I can use as a reference? :-p

BTW, I'm the Boston Maulers. I usually use Mungo's Maulers for another fantasy hockey league I used to play in. Mungo is the name of character Cam Neely plays when he does cameos on Rescue Me. Maulers was the best mean and tough name I could think of to match up with the same starting letter.
