Top class game at The Arena last night. Newcastle perhaps lucky to win and get a shutout, as both teams played very well. But still got to be happy with it, much different to what I used to watch in seasons past. Quick, flowing and good all round hockey. No fights, which surprisingly made it more enjoyable. One negative point about the night though, Shane Johnson of Belfast, made some disgusting hits and moves that I cannot describe. I've seen him a lot, and he was a typical small person; very easily wound up. Resulting in a 10min misconduct.
But all in all, a good night of hockey!

The Giants fans don't seem to be happy about their result, seems as though should be sacking half of the team!!

Bracknell re-sign Kaminskas and sign Carl Graham from Phoenix, meaning they now have a defence!!

Haven't been to one this season, and I've left Manchester now. I'm probably gonna try and get to some of the Saturday games as they'll be best for me. There's a couple in November I might get to:
Bracknell on the 7th or Peterborough on the 14th
Guildford are also up on a saturday in December so I might watch that as well

Very nice... If you watch a saturday game. You should come train with us at night time.

Neglected this thread for a bit recently, however I had to post in here today after last night
Sheffield Steelers are bottom of the EIHL
They lost to the Panthers last night, and with Hull winning they dropped to the bottom of the league, doesn't get much better
The EIHL is currently
Nottingham
Coventry
Newcastle
Belfast
Cardiff
Edinburgh
Hull
Sheffield
And the EPL is currently
Milton Keynes
Manchester
Slough
Guildford
Sheffield
Basingstoke
Swindon
Peterborough
Bracknell
Romford
Really surprised by Basingstoke doing so poorly and Slough doing so well. Manchester can go top tonight if they beat MK away

A funny comment by Courtenay at the end as well, his face when he realizes hes been caught on camera is classic

New team joining the Elite League next season. A second Scottish team. Only about an hour or so away from me so may give this team a go. Still a bit cautious as ice hockey has been tried and failed various times before in the Glasgow area. Also this team seems to be owned and ran by other owners in the league so I hope there is no conflict of interest though at least it seems to be shared and not one individual.
Braehead Clan
Have to say I don't like the name very much I would have gone with something like Pirates of the Clyde to try and get the imagination of familes. They need to avoid saturday night games though as there is too much else going on around Glasgow on a saturday night. Sunday afternoons and Friday nights would be my suggestion.
Always good news to have a new team and maybe it will grow on me I will certainly give it a chance as the west of scotland is crying out for decent hockey.

Not good for them at the minute is it?
Getting spanked by Hull is never a good sign, apparently they'll still be around next season and back at the MRA but I'm not sure how many fans will come back after this season - especially if Wilson is still coach

Would be great to be back at the MRA. Wilson as a coach isn't a bad thing as far as I am concerned. People don't realise the success we've had, up until this season on such limited resources. 2 Findus cups and 1 Playoff title

I saw their game against Cardiff on Sunday. It was going quite well for them until Cardiff pulled back some goals. They seemed to fall apart in the third period. Was a good game none the less.

What a fight! Back from 2003-2004
In other news, hoping the Vipers can do well this weekend in the playoffs, and we drop down to the EPL for next year.
