Even though I screwed it all up last season, I'd like to play a keeper for once.

How many players would be 'kept' each year, do you know? Is it pre-determined who's a keeper and who isn't?
I'm not sure. Stinson? Any idea?
There will be six "keepers" for the 2011 fantasy season. And we'll further define that as 1 left wing, 1 center, 1 right wing, 2 defensemen, and 1 goalie for a total of six players.
Here's my understanding of how it'll work:
This season, 2010, we will draft our teams as normal, and the year will play-out like any other fantasy hockey season. In the offseason, our bottom four GMs will be relegated, and we'll promote four new GMs to take their teams (we'll remove the old team names and logos, so the new GMs can use their own names and logos). Then, by September 15 2010, a week or two before the 2011 Fantasy Draft, each GM in the league will submit to me a list of six(6) players on his roster that he wants to keep for the 2011 season. As mentioned above, these six will comprise of 1 left wing, 1 center, 1 right wing, 2 defensemen, and 1 goalie. We will then hold the annual fantasy draft, which will fill our remaining eleven roster spots. Then year two will begin, and the process will continue.

Instead of a waiting list I propose 2 Series ( TBL-A and B) so who's relegated would play in B and depend on how long is the waiting list this could be a solution for all who want to join a keeper league without waiting a long time.

Sign me up. It would be my first attempt at fantasy hockey (or fantasy-anything really) but I'd love to give it a try.

This was my original intent with the league, but there were, and still are, issues that keep coming up with this setup.
We're still keeping it in mind for the future, though, 'cause it'd be fun if we get it working.

I hope we can make it work in the future, would be nice. By the way what are the main issues?

There's really no "main" issues, just a bunch of little odd and ends that would complicate things, or defeat the intent of the setup, or aren't an option provided by ESPN. And on top of that, none of us really have any experience yet with a keeper league, so we don't have the proper foreknowledge required to plan ahead.
But, that's why we're still keeping it on the agenda: no major issues, just small things that need some more thought/experience to implement properly.

Last call! Sign-up for the TBL Fantasy Hockey League ends tomorrow, probably sometime around noon.
Then I'll go through and see who makes the cut. As soon as that's done, I'll post here who's in, and who's on the waiting list for next year. Good news is it doesn't look like we've gone too far beyond 14 applicants, so the waiting list may be a lot smaller than I was fearing... but there will still be some turned away this year, unfortunately.
But hey, this isn't a communist forum: not everything has to be run by the mods and admins.

So, if you don't make this league, but really want to play, you could always create your own league.

As 12 April is closing, can you add me to the waiting list, please? Thank you.
I hope you want signups for 2010/11 season to be posted here, too.

Sure thing.
In fact, as a note to everyone: signups are ongoing. Anyone who wants to join can post here, and you'll be added to the waiting list and ranked according to TBL post-count.

I'd also like to be added to the waiting list, if that's possible, of course. Seems like you guys are having lots of fun.
But I have to say I'd need some briefing if I make it for next season.

You're in, Ciryatan.
Check the league's home thread (
Here) to see where you stand in the promotion standings (spoiler alert: you're third - in position for promotion next year!).
