Don't believe the hype!
I've also seen a bit of improvement in Stoa, but I guess I'd leave him in the AHL for the second season. Shouldn't do him any harm, and Durno still seems to be a better option for the 4th line.

Time to trade him to Montreal, NY Rangers, Philly or Vancouver.

Even though I am not on this challenge, Durno sucks pretty bad. Oh, well, should be because you have the trade etc. limits.

I just finished up my second season and here's how Stoa's been doing so far:

2006-07
with Colorado 10 GP-1G-0A-1PT-2PIM 8 Shots, 12.5% 6.6 Rating
with Lake Erie 59 GP-19G-18A-37PTS-52 PIM 149 Shots, 12.8% 6.51 Rating

2007-08
with Colorado 28 GP-2G-5A-7PTS-10PIM 12 Shots, 16.7% 6.64 Rating
with Lake Erie 38 GP-13G-17A-30PTS-45PIM 108 Shots, 12% 6.42 Rating

In season 1, he played his 10 games on the fourth line when Hejduk was out with an injury, so I can understand why the numbers are as low as they are. Now, in season 2, he spent his NHL time on the third line with Taylor Hall and Willsie or on the fourth with Koci and Haydar and was the main shooter on both lines, but he just won't shoot the puck, which is extremely frustrating. He has a good shot at sticking with the big club for the year and good possibly be on a line with new additions Wade Brookbank and Tyler Kennedy. I'm going to try to get Stoa to be more of a two-way player and see if we can't boost that rating to over 6.75 for the season.

As I lost interest in the Avalanche-challenge I forgot to see how you guys did with Stoa. Anyone had any success?

I never really used Stoa in the NHL. I only played a couple seasons and he stayed in the AHL. :dunno:

I played three seasons and Stoa never really made it into NHL. He played couple of games a season, mostly as a substitute when Durno was injured, and I think his average rating was always below or around 6.0. So no, no success there. :-p

EDIT: I cleaned up a bit. /joehelmer

I managed Stoa to reach 6.14 rating in 7 NHL games. So am I the winner? :-D

Nope, I think I lead. :P

Stoa's NHL rating.

I managed to get him reach 6.31 in 141 NHL games. Yeah, he played 82 games one season before I strengthed my team enough to knock him out of the fourth line. :P :-D

darn I forgot all about this, wonder if I backed up that save before sending my laptop off for repairs. I'll have to check at work tomorrow. I think I used Stoa quite a bit in my final season but I can't remember how his ratings looked.
