I'm not overly worried about people being able to use the "edit" feature. We've got a pretty good community. Why not try it out and have it enabled until we're given a reason to remove it? I know one thing we had worried about in the past was people editing their challenge stats. Now that we don't post our stats in a thread (we use the awesome challenge stats upload tool instead), it shouldn't be an issue.

This is what I'm thinking too.

I love the new look Archi! Great job on the upgrade! =D>

The only issue I think I'd consider is doing away with the "You have successfully logged in page", as it does seem a bit superfluous to me. Anyway, it's up to you.

And thanks for adding the "Go to page" option. It can really come in handy while browsing long threads, such as the Challenge Discussions.

I can't take credit for either of those - they came as standard with the new forum software. :D

I know what you mean about the "You have successfully logged in" page but I'm afraid there's no way of removing/disabling it.

You can select "Auto login me next time" (or something like that) and you'll be logged in without this annoying message.

Oops. I just realized that external links are no longer opened in new window. Gotta get used to it, no problem. It's one more click on mouse ;)

I just noticed that we don't have the multi-quote anymore. :-( Is this something that can't be add with the new forum?

Yeah, a couple of features that were introduced by previous forum upgrade are gone.
:dunno:

Unfortunately that's correct. The old forum used very old addons (some were eight years old) and aren't compatible with the new forum version (nor are they very secure!). If you tell me which features are missing, I will consider whether we can add them again. I don't want to add too much because they slow the site down and increase bandwidth.

With regards to multi-quote, there isn't currently a suitable addon available for the new forum. This is something I want to look at again in the very near future. However, you can multi-quote by doing the following:

1) Click on the Post Reply button (don't use Quick Reply).
2) On the Post a Reply page, scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the Topic Review which lists all of the latest posts.
3) From the Topic Review list, click on the Quote buttons for the posts you want to quote in your reply.

Yay, that's very nice way to multiquote. Since I use IE7 I wasn't able to multiquote even in previous forum version. But this way is comfortable

I miss those small challenge cups under user avatar. They were nice and easy to understand. However I don't know how difficult and bandwitch consuming they were.

I like the trophies too. :) You'll be happy to know that they haven't actually disappeared - they're just invisible at the moment. I just need to import the trophies (and the associated TBL Points) from the previous forum and then they will be visible again. Getting the downloads back online is my top priority, but once I've done this then I'll import the trophies.

All trophies and TBL points have been restored. If you see any mistakes then please do let me know and I'll investigate. I had to import this data manually and so there's always a chance of human error. I did however thoroughly cross-check everything and I'm confident that there shouldn't be any mistakes.

The way to check is to click here and then click on the "User Profile" link near the top right corner. You will then see all of your trophies listed at the bottom of your profile. Count the number of trophies you have for each trophy (i.e. how many gold trophies, bronze trophies, and silver trophies you have) and compare this to the number listed at the top. So for example:

Image

You'll see that in the screenshot above there are headings that say GOLD TROPHIES (1) and SILVER TROPHIES (2). The number in brackets should correspond with the number of trophies listed underneath. So you'll see I have two silver trophies listed and this corresponds with the (2) listed in the heading. If these figures didn't match then it would mean that there's a mistake and you'll need to let me know. ;)

P.s. I've noticed that the trophies are incorrectly wrapping on lower resolutions (i.e. the Bronze trophies are wrapping below the Gold and Silver). I'll see if I can fix this...

Thanks for the Edit option Archi! I make many mistakes and I was bored to delete my posts again and again. :-p

Great work on the site, Archi! I'm glad to see the trophies back and I think the editing is a good thing that our community won't abuse. That's also a nice workaround for multi-quote.

I'm trying to fix that annoying blank gap that appears above tables. You table might be missing the usual borders, etc whilst I work on fixing it. They'll reappear once I've sorted it all out.

The tables are all fixed now.
