Double click it... just like you would patch or update any other application. You've updated Flash or a web browser... something before, right?

I merged and stickied this thread to suit all who are having difficulties with roster updates. With edited databases, crashes happen occasionally.

I can't get past August 6th, 2007, it freezes every time. Anyone know what the issue might be? I haven't tampered with the game at all.

I've gotten as far as October 3rd and then it freezes on me. I'm playing as Winnipeg.

Hi. I have a question, i searched but somehow couldn't find anything (maybe i'm just bad at forum search ) similar to what i want to ask. So the problem is, after July 3rd (i think), i lose rights to my RFAs. Now i think i read somewhere some time back that this can't be fixed, but what i want to know if it happens just for first 3 years i sim for all players that are already signed to ELC when the game already starts, or will it happen every single year when i sim past July 3rd, because i played two or three times and stopped playing because i got scared it would happen every single year.

So in warp up, do i lose rights to my RFA comming off ELC on July 3rd every season i sim or will it be just first 3 years? Thanks.

So has REALLY noone ever had similar things happen to him with LIDAS rosters? Losing rights to players comming of ELC early in July? anyone?

Yes, it has happened. It is probably because of their draft year being 2006. When we get the rosters compatible with the 2011-start date then it won't be happening anymore

I've been playing, gone through two seasons so far, but for some reason waivers aren't working properly. They are fine during the summer, but once the season starts I can't call up ANY prospects from my farm team without having them go through waivers. Problem with CSD maybe?

I am also experiencing this issue with the younger players who should be exempt from regular season waivers.

When you have these issues, what are the stats (pro games played) of the players involved?

It happens with anyone, even some 20 year old kid that has just signed his first contract out of junior.

I ask because a "20 year old kid" would not likely have been in the original 2006 db as a 15 year old - so if this new/young player was "created" by overwriting an older player, that older player's stats need to be deleted too

They were signed at the start. Seems that the ones that I have signed since can be moved still.

This happens with younger players as well as older players. E.g. I'm playing as the Flames and Logan MacMillan has to go through waivers even though he has never played an NHL game in his stats and was present in the original db.

I just downloaded the new database for use without the CSD patch (i.e.. a 2006 start date but otherwise the same database), and Logan MacMillan did NOT have to go through waivers! It looks like this may be connected to the CSD patch (i.e. how does the game deal with a 5 year gap in the data it uses to make decisions)...I would think/hope that once the 2006-2011 player history has been updated/inputted this will no longer be an issue...

I admit that I don't know about any "hiden actions" that may occur where the game uses the Player Info tab, but in my testing the data on the Player Info tab does not show up in game - a player with stats on the Player Info tab but no History has no stats show up in game; a player with no Player Info data but History does have stats show up in game; and for a player with conflicting Player Info/History the History data always overrides the Player info data...

The ones I have in my system that are having problems with waivers:

Joni Ortio
T.J. Brodie
Sven Baertschi
Greg Nemisz
Leland Irving
Logan MacMillan
Ryan Howse
Roman Horak
Mitch Wahl

There were a few others, but I have since released them. Additionally, I think Paul Byron should be able to move freely between the teams, but I'm not sure.

I took a look at your list of players, again using the new database for use without the CSD patch, and
- Nemisz and Wahl are unsigned prospects at start up (so waivers is not an issue)
- all the rest do NOT have to pass through waivers

I believe the problem lies with 'Date joined club'

If you need to adjust all of the Date Joined Club years for all players or players under a certain age then let me know as I'll quickly write another update tool/script.
