As far as I'm aware, it is unlawful to share licenses. The license is for your own personal use on up to three machines - it doesn't mean three different people may have the license. We therefore will not support or allow the sharing of license/serial numbers on TBL.

I understand you originally bought EHM 2007 - please see my question here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 51#p125551

I confirm eLicence still supports EHM customers, for those interested - I can now play again :)

So, there's no way of playing the game if you didn't download it already? I like what I see in the demo. Are there any similar games whether offline or online that would compare?

You might want to see if you can find EHM 2005 in the shops. It can usually be picked up for a decent price.

Amazon has EHM 2005. Apparently only 2 left, though!

If you can't get EHM 2005, or even 2004, you could always try the freeware EHM. It's certainly old, but it's still EHM at heart.

Is the 2007 version the box without a year on it???? I am a bit confused, if you buy the physical game used are you not going to be able to use it due to needing an licence key?

Do you mean this one?

It can be both versions :( I don't know how to identify them. Maybe on the back cover?

Typicall covers looks like this:

I'd say you don't need license key for boxed version. Anyhow, eLicense still supports EHM2007. So in case you'd need their license key there should be no problem.
Where did you see EHM2007 being sold?

On amazon there is a picture of that first box.. but it does not say what year it is. Priced used at $69.00. Ebay has tons of the first box, very non descriptive. Just says EHM no year. I am skeptical of both. :thdn:

EHM 2007 isn't/wasn't available as a boxed version; It was digital-download only, apart from a special handful sold, I believe, in Scandinavia.

The one without a year on the box (the first one in McQwak's post) is EHM 2004. It was the first one released by SI, back in the summer of 2004, available as a standard boxed copy or digital-download through SoftWrap, I think. EHM 2005 came next summer, and was also available as a boxed copy or digital-download (via eLicense). Then EHM 2007 came in September of 2006, and was available only as a download from eLicense.

If you have a boxed copy of EHM 2004 or 2005, you don't have to worry about activation or keys; It should work like any other video game CD, even if you buy it previously-owned I would assume.

As for EHM 2007 licenses: like McQwak says, eLicense is still providing support and activation. So, if you already have 2007, you should be fine.

I have a boxed copy of EHM 2004 that I may be willing to part with - I don't really play '04 at all since I downloaded '07 a while back.

Edit: On a side note, if I did want to activate/deactivate my digital download, where would I find my license #? I'm assuming it would be in one of the menus in the game...

Riz just posted this over on the SI Forums:

I've been trying to put in a good word on this every once in a while, but naturally there are legal/licensing issues involved with all of it. So while it would be great and on a personal level I would want to do it, there are some complex questions involved.
Obviously it could be very difficult legally for this to be released as freeware but it's great to hear that Riz is seeing what he can do. [-o<

Yeah seeing that the community is still alive and wants new stuff could maybe help change their minds. Steam isn't a bad idea too!

As you will have seen in this thread, EHM is no longer on sale. If you already own a license then you can download the Try'n'Buy demo and activate it (to make it the full version): http://download.cnet.com/NHL-Eastside-H ... 86872.html

I just picked up a copy of EHM 2005 on amazon for $14.99. Amazing how much the price went up since the game stopped selling.
