Also, just tried loading up the game with the new Lidas rosters using the ARTMoney method, and the ages of the players was all messed up because of the year shift. For example, starting with an OHL team, all of the players that should be eligible were over 21 years old (essentially accounting for adding on the years to reach 2011). Not sure if this is the same with the actual patch or not.

You can "run as administrator" by right click on the file and then click on "run as", followed by selecting Administrator and then entering the password, but that still didn't work for me. However, I did try your ARTMoney method, and that worked for me. Do we have to use this method each time before loading up the game like the patch?
I'd advise against using the current ArtMoney patch. It hasn't been updated to include all of the recent bug fixes (such as the WC bug). I just asked jukomiko to see if ArtMoney would work so I could narrow down what the issue was. I'm working on an alternative patch which I hope will be XP-friendly. It's going to be difficult, however, as I don't have a computer with XP on which to test.
You are right - you would need to apply the ArtMoney patch each time in the same way as using the CSD Patch.

That's because the Lidas Rosters have adjusted dates of birth and dates in the extra_config.cfg file so that the 2011/12 season could be replicated using the hardcoded 2006/07 season. I have uploaded a corrected set of rosters for the CSD Patch - the link can be found here:

Might be worth trying the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010

I have tested the CSD with the Manimal/Lidas v3.2 rosters CSD in the CHL (OHL) and there's a problem, there's only 2 players available for the draft in all the CHL, I fear this is a little problem (maybe you didn't had the time to set the date of everyone...
Will the next Manimal/Lidas v4.0 rosters will be available with the CSD?
Thanks

Would you mind posting a screenshot of the problem please?

No, version 4.0 won't be available with the CSD, However I will ask Manimal if I can make a CSD-adjusted version (although contract expiry dates will not be corrected and so most players will be on one year contracts). It is hoped that version 4.1 will be available for the CSD so long as we can adjust the contract expiry dates.

I've found the compatibility issue with Windows XP and this will be fixed in version 1.2.
In the meantime, for those of you with Windows XP, here's a quick work around:
1) Download the XP Patch here:
https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=A0FA740E ... C5C5%21280
2) Load EHM but do no click on the New Game button yet.
3) Load the XP Patch. It will apply a 2011 start date and should automatically close afterwards.
4) Click on New Game in EHM and enjoy!
Note that you must apply the patch until 1 February or 1 July depending upon the leagues you have loaded (see the readme.txt for the CSD Patch for more details).

Thanks for all the great work guys. Its awesome, if there is anyway to compensate I would be happy to. Only issue I have found is that the restricted free agents (Doughty, Schenn, etc.) have become UFA's.

Does it work going backwards, or just forward? I've only seen people test it for years after 2006. If someone wanted to start in, say, 1967, would it work? Would all the records made/broken after that year still be in the game?

I noticed this also. I'm guessing that something got screwed up in the generation of new players before the first season. It seems to work in the next season. For the newest Manimal roster update (past 3.2) I had already created a few younger players that haven't been drafted in the CHL yet and when I use those rosters, they are the only players available to draft. That makes me think that for some reason there are literally no other players in the age range to be drafted. The game didn't do it's job for some reason.

There have been tests made for 1974. They were positive, but of course, will require adapted databases in order to work to their full potential.

Which draft is this? Is this the one at the end of the season? So you're saying that there are simply just one or two players eligible for the CHL Draft? How would it ordinarily work - are these players normally created (i.e. regens) by EHM in time for the Draft?

Yep, you can set the date in the past if you like. However you would need to adjust the contracts of every player and staff in the database because otherwise you get lots of contract.cpp errors (as the contracts are too long). I'm working on a tool to correct the contracts.
You'd also need to edit the club and nation competition histories. EHM will crash when it tries to add a new entry to the history if a record already exists for that year. You would need to use a hex editor to remove the records and you would need to update the index.dat file.

I lost my last career with the draft, but here's the scouting the recruiting agency:
Absolutely nothing on the 5th of October...

This is from my prospect scout (he is scouting for 2 months). Only two players available in all the Canada...

I think it's a DB problem

Well, even without real players in the DB there should still be plenty of newgens to draft. Is there any of them at the right age in the game, or is there a missed "offset" that makes all newgens to be too old for the CHL drafts with the patch?

I am not sure, the players are there from the DB, then they get released from the various junior teams cuz they are too old, and probably this is why no newgens are created.

I don't recall seeing any mention of such an issue with the original Lidas v3.2 rosters. The CSD-adjusted rosters I uploaded were simply the v3.2 rosters with corrected dates of birth and a corrected extra_config. So if I test the original v3.2 rosters and use the original 2006 start date (i.e. create a new game without the Patch) then I can see whether the issue is a database issue or a Patch issue. Personally, my first impression is the same as Viking's - I'd have thought some more players would have been available. I'll do some testing today and will let you know.
Alex - thank you for the screenshot. Nice desktop wallpaper too!

It looks like it's an offset/Patch issue. Using the standard Lidas v3.2 rosters with the default 2006 start date there are 200 players in the ISS preliminary rankings for the OHL 2007 Draft:
I'll see if I can fix this for version 1.2 of the Patch. It'll most likely be a missed 2007 offset.

Looks like a lots of the player rights have been removed completely, for exapmle players taken in the 2011 draft. They have draft status, but no rights. Also players from older draft classes have lost rights.

Could you give me a couple of player names as examples please?
P.s. welcome to The Blue Line!

Thanks, yeah I am part of the supporter group of the Montreal Impact (Ultras Montreal 02). Last little question Archi, I saw on an another picture and an another thread here:
http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/bb43 ... istory.png that the season are simulated already until 2010. Is it you who managed to do that or the CSD is suppose to do that automatically. Because on the career I started, it looks like all hockey leagues has been on strikes for 4 or 5 seasons and also, a little bug, all the milestone of the leagues are gone for some reasons. Every day there's a new OHL record for the team with the most goal over a season, etc.

I did it myself using the Pre Game Editor. All of the player histories will need to be added manually. However if you do add them then they will appear in game. I added Milan Lucic's to the Lidas v3.2 CSD Rosters so if you search for him you'll see his entire playing history. I just added that so that users could see it in action.

I noticed this a couple of times in early testing too but I thought it had resolved itself. Perhaps not. I'll add it to my list of things to investigate. Thanks!

It's not working for me at all, i have all the necessary software, file is in correct folder, admin settings are grayed out, un-selectable, i am running as the admin though, so that might be why. It gives me no error messages, i have tried launching from the patch and running the patch after EHM is open, neither seems to work, but it tells me it worked, but no results. I'm running Vista 64 bit (i know, i know)
