DUde. Start all over. It is just copy and paste once you download stuff. Patch will go into game....nothing else does. If it is SI it goes in (patch 3.04). If it is not...you have to extract to a folder (i do it on desktop) and then copy and paste the stuff into the appropriate areas.
There is a read me file attached to virtually every download on this site.
Wow..if I can do it, anyone can.

Read the directions that come in the read me for the
1. patch.
2. the game itself
3. everything you download.
Other than that I cannot help you. Someone else may come over to your house and do it for you, but it won't be me.
I figure that if old men like CeeBee and I can handle this new fangled 6 year old technology...anyone can.

Okay. Where is your EHM install folder?
Place your database to: (EHM install folder)\data\database\
Patch should automatically load files into the correct folder if you've installed the game correctly using the setup file (456.exe). After that update the game (469.exe).

thats for the patch

It's an .exe file. All that needs to be done is double click on it. If not, then I don't know...

No double click, just pick the file open, then it asks me to choose program to open this file

Like I said. If it won't work on double click, I don't know. What comes to mind, maybe your puter has it mixed up with a .zip or .rar file and you need to extract it. But in that case, it's not working as it should, because that's not what the file is. I'm afraid you might be on your own on this. There's no way for an outsider to know what to do with your puter, cause we can't get there and try different things out. You might have to figure it out yourself. Sorry.

In the thread for that file here:
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =82&t=6627 someone has a similar situation, and they just simply add the extension .exe to the file, which makes it work. Maybe that's what you need to do. Try adding ".exe" to the end of the file. Maybe it doesn't know it's an .exe file.
Just shooting blindly here, but you never know...

Yes we know that is the patch. You and every other user of this site has downloaded that patch. And we have it in our game and working.
Now that file you have...has a readme file. I guess either your computer does not like you, or you did not read the patch directions on your own. It should just automatically go into the game as .exe as Tasku just said.

I'm deleting and unistalling every thing again (for the 3rd time)
I will down load the patch from that link 1st
I will install the game
I will download roster update and (move data folder from 4.1b into EHM data folder)
All should be good to go?

What a strange collection of folders.....
I've never heard of a folder (or file) titled "debug" before.......or "temp".......and I've never heard of a file named "hm1"
I am running EHM07 using Windows 7, and inside my EHM folder (located at C Drive/Program Files (x86)/Sports Interactive/) I have only two folders, data & manuals. Also visible are the readme files, the changelist (from the patch) and the actual game itself ("File Name" EHM 2007, File Type "Application")
And
saved games are not located inside my EHM folder where the game is actually located, my saved games are located in My Documents/Sports interactive/EHM 2007/games
My various databases (such as the Manimal 4.1b database) are located at C Drive/Program Files (x86)/Sports Interactive/data/database.
The Avenger wrote:do i want to "open, save, save as or save and open"? those are my options
For me I'd save it in C Drive/Program Files (x86)/Sports Interactive/data.......then I'd go in and double-cick on it

I have data, manuals, prefs, saves and temp folder, but no debug, hm1 or readme folders. Also the saves folder is there only because I specifically chose this location thru the game preferences, where the game asks for your saves folder.
Not sure what to think of all those folders though...

Dear Avenger,
It might be good if you begin with stating, as clearly as possible, all the steps you take. What files you are downloading, what do you get when you download them, what files are you trying to open, step by step. I presume we're talking about EHM 2007 and your computer is running some version of MS Windows.
We all here would really like to help, but as of now all we can do is guess. A little more coherence might be helpful.

What the heck is a puter?

All I found is "a male turkey" in German. (
